St. William's Catholic Church is a small parish located in Eastern Oregon.

There will be Spanish mass this Friday evening at seven.

The catechetical year will begin with a coffee hour after Mass on Sunday, September 13. Classes will begin September 20. Students in first and second grades will be preparing for reconciliation and first communion. Sixth graders will begin their second year of confirmation prep. All youth in Grades 1-12 are encouraged to attend. If you have questions, please contact Maureen or Jeri.

Today was the Father Condon Memorial Golf Tournament. It was a great success, with approximately 44 golfers participating. The morning kicked off with a prayer and toast to Fr. Condon. (He is missed and loved.) Thanks to Mark McElligott for organizing the event and Kay Proctor for arranging the delicious brunch. Also, thanks to the golfers and all who donated prizes and food, as well as those who set up, served and cleaned up. It was a wonderful opportunity for people to meet our new bishop, Bishop Hennen. What a joyful morning! 💟✝️

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is not a holy day of obligation this year. Mass will be offered August 15 at St. Patrick at 9 a.m.

St. Williams’ and St. Patricks’ volunteers! Father Condon’s Golf Tournament, August 29th, Saturday, 8am, Willow Creek Country Club, Heppner. 1. Helpers needed! I’ll be at the Clubhouse by 7:30am to set up, make coffee, and accept food for the post-tourny brunch. Need a helper at that time and also later for serving/clean-up. 2. Need brunch food for golfers! Quick Bread/muffins/rolls, fruit, a breakfast meat, juice, biscuit and gravy, etc., whatever your specialty is! Can arrange to have food drop-offs at Heppner’s Parish Hall on Friday, the 28th. Please let me know😊.

The stained glass window at St. Patrick in memory of Fr. Condon is complete. Thank you to all the donors who made this possible. It is a beautiful tribute to a faithful servant and beloved priest. ✝️💟
