There will be Spanish mass this Friday evening at seven.

The catechetical year will begin with a coffee hour after Mass on Sunday, September 13. Classes will begin September 20. Students in first and second grades will be preparing for reconciliation and first communion. Sixth graders will begin their second year of confirmation prep. All youth in Grades 1-12 are encouraged to attend. If you have questions, please contact Maureen or Jeri.

2026 Father Condon’s Memorial Golf Tournament. Not everyone pictured. Good turnout, coolish weather, LOTS of good food, good people. Someone will need to post who won 1st and 2nd…i only heard the scramble scores of 27 strokes (the Bishop, Barry Munkers,+ more), score of 28 (The Lindsay guys), then a bunch of 29s. Father Condon would be pleased to know we golf to remember him. PS…Jeri captured some great photos of the tourny on the St. Williams fb page….showing the joy and fellowship of the spirit of this gathering.

“A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful volunteers from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for preparing and taking care of cleanup.

We were delighted to welcome several friends from Ione, making the afternoon even more special. Ava from the Oregon Trail Library also joined us, bringing a wonderful selection of books for everyone to browse and enjoy.

The stained glass window at St. Patrick Church in Heppner is complete. ***thank you for this story about this special window, Alicia Tarnasky Angell (her Mother is Sheridan Tarnasky)☘️ “It is so BEAUTIFUL! Many of you knew Father Condon, but for those of you reading this who didn't, he was the parish Priest in Heppner and was deeply loved by the entire community. Personally, he celebrated my Confirmation, our Marriage, Delaynee's Baptism, and was there for her First Communion and Confirmation, he was the Celebrant for Grandma Ilene's funeral, worked with Mom on many of his plays--not many milestones didn't include him. He passed away on a Saturday evening and the world shut down due to Covid less than a week later. To say his funeral was exactly how he would of wanted it--I think less than 20 people were there, with most of us watching from our homes via livestream--speaks to how humble and private he was. However, many wanted to find a way to honor him. In doing so, Mom organized a donation drive and in no time at all, the funds were raised from community members near and far for a stained glass window in his memory. A true testament to the love he poured into everyone. Yesterday, that window was completed and it is stunning! Father Condon was Irish through and through, hence the shamrocks--3 leaf because that is the visual that St. Patrick is said to have used to teach the Holy Trinity. Father also had a very strong reverence for Saint Therese. The last St. Patrick's Day play that he wrote was in her honor. St. Therese was known as The Little Rose. If you look closely, you can see roses at the bottom near the banner with Father's name. It was an act of patience to see it through to completion but it is BEAUTIFUL!!!”

The Church celebrates Corpus Christi to profess and adore our Eucharistic Lord. Jesus is truly present body, blood, soul, and divinity in the Eucharist.
Holy Eucharist Procession of Corpus Christi inside St.Patrick Church. Heppner, Sunday, June 7th. 1. Before the final blessing of the Holy Mass, Father Alexandar will put the Humeral veil on, bring the Blessed Sacrament, and expose on the Alter. Kneeling in front, he will start incensing by the time choir sings O Salutaris and O Sacrament most Holy. Singing continues along with the procession.
2. In the procession, there are the Cross bearer, 2 candle holders, 1 Thurible, 1 incense, then the Priest with the Blessed Sacrament in the Monstrance.
3. The procession proceeds with singing the entire time in the procession, with non-stop bell ringing. 4. When procession pauses, bell ringing stops. Choir then sings O Sacrament…(3 times) along with the incensing of the blessed Sacrament 3 times. This can repeat 3 or 4 times.
5. When the Blessed Sacrament is returned to the altar, the Benediction will begin with the second part singing of the Tantum Ergo.
