Cathletics! is the theme and All are welcomed! On Monday through Thursday June 22nd-25th, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will be hosting our annual Vacation Bible School. Activities will include faith, snacks, games, crafts, and music. Start time is 9 am until 12 pm. All students entering kindergarten through those completing sixth grade are welcome. Registration forms are located at Murray’s front counter. Please register by June 19th.

The location is St. Patrick’s Parish Hall. We ask that an adult check in with the children on Monday at 9 am and bring the registration form. All children are welcome. Please contact Debbie Wryn at [email protected] with any questions.

Last week The Holy Name Society met at Corey Miller’s shop to share a meal and fellowship. All men of St. William’s and St. Patrick’s Parishes are welcomed to be a part of their gatherings and endeavors, which often includes good food!

Many of us attended Mass at the old St. Peter’s church in Echo. Recently, a new cross, replicated like the original one, was placed on the church building exterior. Father Luis, of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Boardman blessed the new cross.

Before the cross was lifted into place, a small group gathered while Father Luis of Boardman Parrish offered a lovely, very well-suited blessing. Behind Fr. Luis is Teres, then Phyllis, Chris, Rod (the master craftsman), McCormack guys Steven, Trevor and Brian and surveyor, Steve Haddock of Pilot Rock. (Mike Duffy was behind the camera).

The beautiful remarks Father offered...would have been wonderful for everyone to hear, ...truly.

A major project at the St. Patrick’s Church back parking lot and the west side of our Parish Hall. Stacked deteriorating railroad ties were replaced with solid cement curbing. At the Hall, sprinklers failed years ago, so the lawn went dormant and weeds gradually took over. For low maintenance, the area is now cemented, centered around two apple trees.

May he rest in peace, Chuck Norris. The actor and martial artist was a devout Catholic, having publicly embraced Catholicism around 2000, and he said that this faith profoundly changed his life.
