This past Sunday, Pastor Patrick continued the sermon series about Closing the Gap. The sermon was about understanding shame, and Jesus' Forgiveness.

Through the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus as the Lamb of God, the heavy burden of shame that creates distance between us and God is fully washed away, freeing believers to live out their faith boldly every day of the week.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Tarbox family. Debbie Sockwell Tarbox was welcomed into the arms of her Savior this past Tuesday. Debbie was the kind of person who made people feel loved. She was a devoted wife, a fiercely loving mother, a proud grandmother, a daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Church at Cahaba Bend this coming Saturday, September 12th: Visitation 10:30am-12:00pm. Service 12:00pm-1:00pm.

Our community garden has harvested more than 300 pounds for Oak Mountain Missions! Way to go team!

The Church at Cahaba Bend’s community garden has continued to grow at a rapid pace, with more than 300 pounds donated to Oak Mountain Missions this summer.
