The Catechisms were put together for lifelong learning and study of the faith. So, if you are new to the Lutheran church or have been in it your whole life, there is something new to learn about the grace of God!

Join us for worship this Sunday at 9:00 AM at Solem Lutheran Church as we gather outdoors! Please bring a lawn chair. We’ll hear from Romans 12 and consider how, because of the mercy we have already received in Christ, we are freed to love and serve the neighbors God has placed in our lives.

Interested in learning more about becoming a member of our parish? We invite you to join us for a New Member Interest Class on Sunday, September 20th, following the 9:30 AM worship service at Solem Lutheran Church.

This will be an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about our parish, what we believe and teach, and what it means to be a member. Whether you are ready to join or simply want to learn more, you are welcome!

This fall, we’ll be studying two of the most important writings of the Lutheran faith: Luther’s Small Catechism and Large Catechism. DEADLINE: Please let Pastor Micah know if you would like to be a part of this study no later than September 8th so books can be ordered!

In this 8-10 week study, we’ll dig into the Ten Commandments, the Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, Confession, and the Lord’s Supper, exploring not only what we believe, but why we believe it and how these teachings shape our daily lives.

Whether you grew up memorizing the Small Catechism or have never opened it before, this study is for you!

It is with sadness, yet with the sure hope of the resurrection through Jesus Christ, that we share of the passing of Gordon Ekre.

Jesus says, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." — John 11:25

We give thanks to God for Gordon's life and faithful witness, and we pray for comfort and peace for the family and all who mourn.

Due to unexpected travel delays yesterday, Pastor Micah is stuck in Chicago and will not be able to be with us for worship this morning. Our service will still be held at the regular time and will be led by our lay leaders. We are thankful to those who stepped up on short notice to lead us in worship.
