While no one knows exactly when the first fundraising picnic was held at St Lawrence, we do know that in the 200 year history of the church, picnics have been held here for almost TWO CENTURIES!! This is a newspaper article dated July 30, 1879 from an Owensboro paper "Messenger and Examiner"

If you missed the Bicentennial celebration last month you can join us tomorrow at the St Lawrence picnic grounds for another gathering of Food, Fellowship and Fun at the Mary Carrico Catholic School Picnic. Come and enjoy the open pit BBQ St Lawrence is famous for.
If you haven't gotten a Bicentennial cookbook with pages from St Lawrence history, they will be available at the picnic country store tomorrow.

The beautiful Bicentennial Celebration is now another page in the 200 year history of St. Lawrence church. You can still purchase the Bicentennial cookbook, with heirloom recipes and bulletin page histories. It is a 3 ring binder so you can easily add your own keepsake pages. We have a few left at the parish office.

Sunday's lunch and entertainment will be provided free of charge by the parish in celebration of the Bicentennial. T-shirts, cookbooks and quilt chances will be for sale during this time! Mass at noon, lunch and entertainment following at the picnic grounds. Hope to see you there!!!

REMEMBER there is NO 8am Mass at St. Lawrence this coming Sunday. The Bicentennial Mass at 12pm is the only Mass at St. Lawrence this weekend.
