What a night.

The 38th Annual Friends of Wesley was a beautiful evening of celebration, connection, and support for what God is doing through Wesley.

We had right at 200 people gather together, making this the largest Friends of Wesley event to date.

It was a joy to share at Slidell FUMC about the work God is doing through Wesley at Southern Miss, Jones College, and Pearl River Community College.

We are deeply grateful for the strong roots and meaningful connection we share with Slidell FUMC. It is always a gift when your students make their way up to the Pine Belt, and we are thankful to walk alongside them during such an important season of life.

Statewide, 2026 had many words, but the one that stands above them all is Jesus. Jesus is the reason, and He is the one who brings deep transformation and life-giving community.

The Goal of Lent: A Heart Ready for Easter

Lent isn’t just about what we give up, but about what God wants to do in us.

This year, I’m inviting students and everyone in our community to join the 2026 Lent Journey a 40-day walk (plus Sundays, about 46 days total) leading up to Easter. It’s a season to slow down, change perspective, and take an honest look at our souls and our lives.

When you sign up, you’ll receive a daily email with:

A short prayer

A scripture for the day

A simple encouragement to help you stay focused and intentional

We’ll explore what it looks like to pursue real growth across every part of life:
Physical health, finances, spiritual health, and relationships.

It won’t be easy, but anything worth it rarely is. I’m aiming for transformation and I’d love for you to journey with me.

We kick off on Ash Wednesday.
