What a wonderful Palm Sunday with lots of kiddos! The weather was perfect for ice cream sundaes and Easter egg hunting! (Check out the videos toward the end of the album)

Last year, we made Kindness Rocks and planned to hide them around Kamper Park outside the zoo for people to find; however, our trip had to be canceled.
So, today they were placed along the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum's Pet Peeves’ display for people to enjoy.

February Children's Ministry News: So Much to Share! -

The first Sunday every month is Family Worship Sunday at Main Street UMC where all children remain in service with their families.
This gives our children a chance to experience the entire worship service and participate in communion.

Our children had fun reenacting the Christmas Story in Children's Church after working to unwrap some well taped packages holding jingle bells. They attached reminders that Jesus is God's greatest gift to us and that we should share with everyone.
That evening, we had a break in the rain just in time to spread Christmas cheer on a caroling hayride.
It was a busy and superfun day!

We had a busy Sunday @ MSUMC! We made ornaments using Christmas colors in Children's Church, had a birthday party for Jesus during Sunday school, and wrapped up the night performing in the White Christmas service.

Our children did a fantastic job playing bells and singing in MSUMC's White Christmas service. Thanks to Kathryn Sumido for sharing this video of them singing.

Sharing pictures of a few of our children as we cover the story of Esther. As Mrs. Susan told the story, the children created shapes with tangrams to help them learn and remember that God put Esther in the right place at the right time and gave her the confidence to stand up for her people.
God puts us in the right place and the right time as well. We can ask God to help us be bold and brave like Esther to stand up for others.
(And we got to enjoy donut holes as a reminder to look for what the good things we have in life, not what is missing…like the hole in a donut.)

MSUMC's gorgeous tower lighting illuminates Downtown Hattiesburg after sunset thanks to a generous donation given to restore it. We were able to have a very special dedication in the prayer garden during this year's Fall Festival.
Afterward, many families from our community enjoyed live music, games, inflatables, food, and most importantly fellowship. The weather couldn't have been better, and fun was had by all who volunteered and attended.
