On September 3, after wrapping up Senior Night with Oak Grove Volleyball, we made our way over to catch some of the Oak Grove Middle School game against Petal!

We hate that we didn’t get there in time to catch the entire game, but we were able to capture a few moments from the field, along with the awesome Oak Grove Middle School Band!

Another great Wednesday night at Heritage Youth!

We kicked things off with Name That Decade, spent time together in worship, continued in our series I’m Questioning Everything: A Series on Doubt, and wrapped up the night in D-Groups.

In Week 2: Doubting God’s Presence, Matthew 14:22-33 reminded us that even in the middle of the storm, Jesus is still near. Just like Peter, it’s easy to focus on the wind and waves around us and forget what God has already done.

When doubt shows up, we can remember God’s faithfulness, keep our focus on Jesus, and reach out to Him when we feel like we’re sinking.

Bottom Line: Doubt makes us forget what God has already done, fear pulls our focus away from Jesus, and Jesus rescues those who reach out to Him.

We’re thankful for every youth and adult who makes Wednesday nights what they are.
