⏰ WEDNESDAY ENCOURAGEMENT | STAY FAITHFUL

📖 John 10:10
“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

The clock is running.

That may sound a little scary, but it doesn’t have to be.

We can spend our days worrying about what might happen tomorrow, what’s happening in the world, how much time we have left, or all the things we can’t control.

Or we can decide:

I’m going to be faithful with TODAY.

Pastor Monty said Sunday, “Don’t worry about the time on the clock…just be true to your commitment.”

Maybe you feel like you’ve wasted some time. Maybe there are things you wish you could go back and change.

You can’t change yesterday—but you can give God today.

Love somebody today.
Encourage somebody today.
Serve somebody today.
Pray today.
Tell somebody about Jesus today.

Don’t spend so much time watching the clock that you forget to live the life God has given you.

👉 Today’s Challenge: Do one thing today that has eternal value. Encourage someone, serve someone, forgive someone, or tell someone what Jesus means to you.

🙏 Prayer: Father, thank You for the gift of today. Help me not waste it worrying about things I cannot control. Let me live faithfully, love generously, and make my time count for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You can’t stop the clock—but you can make the time count. ⏰🙌

🏈 TUESDAY’S TAKEAWAY | JUST RUN THE PLAY

📖 John 10:10
“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Sometimes we make following God harder than it has to be.

We want to know the whole plan.
We want to know what happens next.
We want to know how everything is going to turn out.

But Sunday, Pastor Monty reminded us:

“Our job is to run the plays, not call them.”

That’ll preach on a Tuesday! 🙌

God sees what we can’t see. He knows what’s ahead. Our responsibility isn’t to figure everything out—it’s to be faithful with what He’s put in front of us today.

And don’t get distracted by the people in the stands.

Some will cheer you on.
Some will criticize you.
Some won’t understand what God has called you to do.

Keep running the play.

Obey God. Love people. Serve faithfully. Do the next thing He’s asked you to do and trust Him with the outcome.

👉 Today’s Challenge: What is one thing you already know God wants you to do? Quit overthinking it and take the next step today.

🙏 Prayer: Lord, help me stop trying to control everything and simply trust You. Give me the courage to obey You even when I can’t see how everything will turn out. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You don’t have to know the whole game plan. You just have to trust the One calling the plays. 🏈

🎯 Friday Focus | Quit Complaining & Start Trusting

📖 Philippians 2:14
“Do everything without complaining or arguing.”

We made it to Friday—and here’s the question:

How much did we complain this week? 😬

Probably more than we’d like to admit.

The good news is that this week was never really about keeping score. It was about recognizing what’s underneath our complaining.

At the end of Sunday’s message, Pastor Monty made an important distinction: Christians aren’t exempt from problems. There’s a difference between facing problems and creating problems, and often the difference comes down to whether we trust God.

We can spend our lives complaining about everything that isn’t the way we want it—or we can start asking:

“God, what do You want me to do here?”

Complaining keeps our attention on the problem.
Trust turns our attention toward God.

And here’s the reminder we need heading into the weekend:

God is the main character of the story—not us.

He is King of Kings. He is Lord of Lords. We exist to glorify Him.

So maybe our declaration today needs to be simple:

I QUIT complaining.
I’m choosing gratitude.
I’m choosing faith.
I’m choosing to trust God.

👉 Weekend Challenge: Go the next 24 hours without intentionally complaining. Every time you catch yourself, turn the complaint into a prayer.

🙏 Prayer: Father, help me quit complaining and start trusting You more. When problems come, remind me that You are bigger than what I’m facing. Help my words bring encouragement instead of negativity and ultimately bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌿 Thursday Thought | What’s Coming Out of Your Heart?

📖 Matthew 12:34
“For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.”

Ouch.

Sometimes Scripture gets right to the point.

It’s easy to think complaining is just something we do with our mouths. But Sunday’s message reminded us that complaining actually goes deeper.

It’s a heart issue.

Pastor Monty asked some important questions: Is my heart given over to God? Have I surrendered my life to His plan? What matters more to me—God’s calling or my comfort?

Our words have a way of revealing what’s happening inside us.

When everything has to go my way, I’m going to complain whenever it doesn’t.

But surrender says, “God, I may not understand this. I may not even like this. But I trust You.”

That doesn’t mean we pretend problems aren’t real. It means our problems don’t get the final word—God does.

Maybe instead of asking God to change everything around us today, we need to ask Him to change something inside us.

👉 Today’s Challenge: Pay attention to your words today. When a complaint starts coming out, ask yourself, “What is this revealing about my heart?”

🙏 Prayer: Lord, search my heart today. Forgive me when I put my comfort and preferences ahead of Your will. Change my heart so that my words reflect faith, gratitude, and trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
