🌳 Wednesday’s Encouragement

Deep Roots Grow in the Wind

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that strong trees don’t develop deep roots on calm days. They develop them by enduring the wind.

God often uses pressure, challenges, disappointments, and uncertainty to strengthen our faith. If He removed every difficulty, we might grow faster, but we wouldn’t grow deeper.

The trial you’re facing today may be the very thing God is using to prepare you for what lies ahead. Don’t despise the wind. Trust the One who controls it.

💡 Daily Challenge: Instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?” ask, “Lord, what are You teaching me through this?” Write down one lesson God may be developing in your life through your current challenge.

🙏 Daily Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for never wasting the difficult seasons of life. Help me trust You when the winds blow and the path seems uncertain. Strengthen my roots, deepen my faith, and teach me to depend on You more each day. Give me the endurance to keep growing through every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

📖 Tuesday Takeaway — Your Identity Hasn’t Changed

📖 Matthew 3:17; Matthew 4:1-3

One of the things that stood out to me in this passage is that before Jesus entered the wilderness, the Father declared, “This is My beloved Son.” His testing didn’t change who He was.

Friend, the same is true for us. Just because you’re walking through a difficult season doesn’t mean God has forgotten you. Your circumstances may be challenging, but your identity hasn’t changed. If you’ve placed your faith in Christ, you are still God’s child, still loved, and still in His hands.

Don’t let the enemy convince you otherwise.

💡 Daily Challenge: Take a few minutes today to thank God for who you are in Christ. Write down one promise from God’s Word that reminds you of His love and keep it where you’ll see it throughout the day.

🙏 Daily Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me and calling me Your own. Help me not to base my identity on my circumstances, feelings, or failures, but on Your unchanging truth. Strengthen my faith and remind me today that I am secure in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

☀️ Monday Motivation — Trust the Process ☀️

📖 James 1:2-4

Nobody enjoys the testing, but God uses every trial to grow our faith. The process may be uncomfortable, but it is producing endurance, strength, and maturity.

Don’t quit because it’s hard. God is still working. The struggle you’re facing today may be the very thing God is using to prepare you for what He has planned tomorrow.

Trust the process. Trust the Lord.

✅ Challenge: Identify one difficulty you’re facing right now and ask yourself, “What is God teaching me through this?” Write down one lesson or blessing you can see, even in the middle of the struggle.

🙏 Prayer: Father, help me trust You when I don’t understand the process. Give me strength to endure, wisdom to learn, and faith to keep moving forward. Remind me that You are working in my life even when I can’t see the outcome. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Friday’s Focus — People Matter

As I reflect on Sunday’s message, one truth keeps coming to mind: people matter.

When Paul wrote to the church at Philippi, he wasn’t focused on buildings, programs, or activities. He was thankful for faithful people who stood together, served together, and partnered together in the work of the Gospel.

The same is true today. The strength of a church is found in its people.

This week, take time to encourage someone. Send a text. Make a phone call. Pray for a friend. Let someone know they are loved and appreciated. Small acts of encouragement can make a big difference.

The church could not do without people who faithfully love, serve, give, pray, and support one another. Thank you for being part of what God is doing at 19th Avenue.

👉 Challenge: Reach out to one person today and tell them why you are thankful for them.

🙏 Prayer: Lord, thank You for the people You have placed in our lives. Help us to encourage one another, bear one another’s burdens, and faithfully serve together for Your glory. Use us to strengthen Your church and point others to Jesus. Amen.

Remember: A healthy church is built one faithful person at a time.
