Cornerstone Community Chapel Job Opening: A part-time Youth Pastor

Key Responsibilities
• Ministry Leadership: Plan, provide vision and lead weekly youth services, Bible studies, and activities that encourage spiritual growth and fellowship. Preach occasionally on Sunday mornings.
• Outreach & Engagement: Build relationships with youth in the community, including attending school events (sports, concerts) to connect with churched and unchurched students.
• Volunteer & Parent Collaboration: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist in programs. Build partnerships with parents to support them in discipling their children.
• Pastoral Care: Provide Christian teaching, coaching, mentorship, and support to youth navigating a growing relationship with Jesus and some occasional personal and relational challenges.
• Administration: Manage the youth budget, schedule events, outreaches, annual short term mission trip. Ensure compliance with safe sanctuary policies (background checks), and communicate with the church congregation and staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Experience in youth ministry, with strong leadership and communication skills.
• A passion for engaging with teenagers and understanding their challenges.
• Biblical knowledge and ability to teach/preach.
• Bachelor’s degree in theology or biblical studies is preferred but may not be required.
Part-Time Structure
• Hours: Usually 15-25 hours/week, with evenings and Sundays required.
• Focus: A "relational" focus, spending time outside the church building to meet youth where they are.
• Reporting: Reports to a senior pastor.
