This week's message is up! Excited to have Mark Burd join us this week!

Most of us hear ‘25 to life’ and think prison. What if it’s actually the best kind of freedom—belonging completely to Jesus? In this episode, we talk about moving from just believing in Christ… to living as His bond servant.

If you’re the same Christian you were 1, 5, or 10 years ago… something’s off.

Healthy things grow. Kids grow. Relationships grow. Our faith should, too.

Maybe your next step isn’t “doing more,” but:

praying like you said you would,
opening your Bible again,
watching your words,
or finally saying “yes” to the thing God’s been calling you to.
This could be your Kairos—your moment to move from stuck to growing.

What’s one small step you can take today?

We always make time for what we truly want.

We say:

“I’ll get into the Word when things slow down.”
“I’ll give when money isn’t so tight.”
“I’ll serve when the kids’ schedule isn’t so crazy.”
But Jesus doesn’t just ask for a spot on our calendar. He calls for our complete faith, trust, and obedience above everything and everyone.

If God is not first, it’s time to reprioritize.

What needs to slide down the list so God can finally be at the top?

Jesus said to be “shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves.”
That’s a powerful picture for relationships.

Innocent as doves: I don’t live suspicious of everyone. I don’t automatically assume the worst.

Shrewd as snakes: I don’t ignore red flags. I don’t climb into the “free candy” van just to prove I’m trusting.

Healthy love holds both together.

It assumes positive intent where there’s no real evidence of harm—
and it uses wisdom and boundaries when something is truly unsafe.

Some of us need to grow in wisdom.
Some of us need to grow in trust.
Ask God which one is you.

One simple question can completely reframe a conflict:

“Do I see this person as an ally or an adversary?”

In a Christ‑centered relationship:

Love protects the other’s reputation
Love trusts that they want God’s best for you
Love hopes for a good future together
Love perseveres when it would be easier to walk away
Before you react, pause and ask:
“Am I treating this person like my enemy… or like someone I’m on the same team with?”

Not every relationship problem is about “the thing” you’re arguing over.
Sometimes the dishes, the calendar, or the card are just the surface.

Underneath, there’s:

Old hurt,
Unspoken expectations,
Quiet bitterness that’s taken root.

If you’re tired of having the same fights on repeat, ask God to show you where bitterness has grown—and what it would look like to protect, trust, hope, and persevere again.
