Some of us keep asking God for permission to move forward when He’s already told us to move.

We replay what we did, where we’ve been, what went wrong, and all the reasons we think we no longer qualify.

But what if the thing telling you that you’re disqualified isn’t God at all?

Tomorrow is a special day at Cornerstone Faith Church, and we would love for you to join us!

This Sunday, we will celebrate the licensing of First Lady Nath Amy Jones to the Gospel Ministry. We are grateful for God’s call upon her life and for the years she has faithfully served, taught, encouraged, and shared the Gospel. We look forward to coming together as a church family to affirm her calling and celebrate this next step in ministry.

Service begins at 10:00 AM at Cornerstone Faith Church, 1033 Big Bethel Road in Hampton. Lunch will be provided immediately following service, and everyone is welcome.

Sometimes hope is hardest when nothing around you seems to be changing.

The prayer hasn’t been answered yet. The situation still feels uncertain. The storm is still there. And that’s when holding on can become difficult.

But biblical hope isn’t wishful thinking. It isn’t pretending everything is okay or simply hoping things will somehow get better. Biblical hope gives us something solid to hold on to because our hope is anchored in the faithfulness of God.

An anchor doesn’t stop the wind or prevent every wave. It keeps you from being carried away by them.

You may not know when things will change. You may not understand what God is doing. You may even be tired of waiting. Hold on anyway.

Hold on to your hope. Hold on to what God has promised. Hold on when you can see what He is doing, and hold on when you can’t.

Because the strength of our hope isn’t found in how tightly we can hold on. It’s found in the faithfulness of the One we’re holding on to.

Hold on. Stay anchored. God is faithful.

As teachers and students return to school this morning, we pray for God’s protection, wisdom, strength, and peace over every classroom, hallway, and school.

May our teachers be strengthened, our students be encouraged, and this school year be filled with growth, excellence, and purpose.

“For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

Maybe you’re tired of being the strong one.

Tired of waiting for something to change.
Tired of carrying what nobody else sees.
Tired of praying and wondering when the answer is coming.

And maybe, if you’re being completely truthful, part of you just wants to let go.

This message is for that place.

In “Hold On,” Pastor Richard Jones III talks about what it means to keep going when life gives you plenty of reasons not to.

Not because the storm suddenly disappears.
Not because everything gets easier.

But because Jesus is still faithful in the middle of it.

Sometimes an anchor doesn’t stop the storm. It simply keeps the storm from carrying you away.

If you’re hurting, weary, discouraged, or just trying to make it through a hard season, take a little time and listen.

Today was a beautiful example of what can happen when churches, organizations, and people come together to serve their community. ❤️

Cornerstone Faith Church was blessed to partner with Bethel Temple Church and The Heart of Giving for today’s Back to School Community Giving & Resources event in Hampton.

Families were able to come out and receive school supplies, clothing, shoes, toys, household items, food, and other resources as they prepare for the new school year. Most importantly, they were welcomed, loved, prayed for, and reminded that their community cares about them.

A very special thank you to Love The Tree Of Life Clinic for bringing their mobile clinic and providing school physicals for students. What an incredible way to meet a practical need for families right before the start of school!

We are also incredibly thankful for the members of Cornerstone Faith Church who came out to volunteer and serve today. Thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your hearts to help make a difference in the lives of others.

We are grateful for every church, organization, sponsor, volunteer, and community partner who helped make today possible. This is what community looks like: coming together, sharing what we have, and serving our neighbors with love.

Cornerstone Faith Church is honored to have been a part of it.
