Women of Refuge! This is your friendly reminder that if you signed up for our WOR Serve Day we will be gathering this Saturday May 16th from 9:00-1130 am, at the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. If you did not complete a waiver form please show up a few minutes earlier to do so. If you didn’t sign up this time don’t fret! We have another upcoming date soon that you can get in on! Just stay tuned!

We will be coming together to pack food boxes for families in need. This is more than volunteering, this is ministry in motion, compassion in action, and women serving together! Bring your smile, your energy, and let's show up for our community. Let's serve, let's shine, and let's be the hands and feet of Jesus! 🫶

Happy Friday! We made it another week!!! 🙌🏽

The week may have tested you,
but the God within sustained you. God is within her, she will not fall, she will not fail. Walk into this weekend knowing you are held, strengthened, and unshaken.

Anxiety and worry have a way of clouding our judgment. When our hearts are overwhelmed, everything can feel urgent, confusing, and uncertain. In those moments, it becomes difficult to discern whether what we are facing is a distraction, a test, or a true blessing.

In Matthew 6:34, Jesus reminds us not to worry about tomorrow. Worry pulls us out of the present and into fear, but discernment is found in stillness and trust. When we quiet our minds and anchor ourselves in God, clarity begins to rise.

A calm and grounded spirit allows us to see with spiritual eyes instead of fearful ones. It helps us recognize what is truly from God and what is not.

Today, I challenge you to release the weight of tomorrow. Trust God with what you cannot control, and allow His peace to guide your discernment. 🙏🏽

God we thank You for a new week! You didn’t have to wake us up this morning, but You did and we are grateful! As we step into this Monday we place our hearts, plans, and responsibilities into Your hands. Strengthen every woman today. Renew her mind, restore her peace, and guide her steps. Let her walk in confidence, purpose, and favor. Remind her that You are with her always. This week will not defeat her, it will develop her. This week will not break her, it will build her. This week, she will rise, grow, and shine ✨

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen 🙏🏽

You’ve got choices, or join us for both! Following service there will be an egg hunt for the babies in the park. Bring your family, bring your friends, you want to be in the place! 🫶

Dear Heavenly Father,

I just want to thank You for the women of refuge and for bringing all of us together in unity and purpose. Lord in this space of refuge, build unshakable strength within each of our hearts. When we feel weak, remind us that Your power is made perfect in our weakness. Lift us up, renew our spirits, and give us courage to keep moving forward. Let us feel comfortable with leaning on each other when we may need a hand. Let us keep each other lifted, standing in the gap and praying for each other. Father we ask that You deepen the bonds of sisterhood amongst us. Let love flow freely, without judgment or fear. Teach us to support one another, to speak life into each other, and to stand together through every trial and celebrate in every triumph. May we find comfort in knowing that we are not alone, we have each other and we have You! Remove any division, insecurity, or doubt, and replace it with unity, trust, and genuine connection. Let this sisterhood be a reflection of Your love. A love that is strong, faithful, and unbreakable. Lord, help each and every one of us women to see our worth, our purpose, and our strength through Your eyes. Let us rise together, stronger than before, encouraging one another to walk boldly into the future You have prepared for us. We thank You for the power of unity and for the gift of sisterhood.

🗣️ WOR… Let’s Talk About It!

A heartfelt thank you to every woman who came out, shared openly, and brought such love (and those amazing brunch bites 💞). Your presence made the space powerful.

Together, we created an atmosphere of connection, sisterhood, and grace—where healing began, hearts were poured out, and growth was embraced.

We are becoming.
We are healing.
We are stepping into virtue—together.

This is just the beginning… and it only gets better from here. 🌸
