Hampstead Baptist Church (HBC) has experienced much grace form God over the past 70 plus years. From it's beginning, which was crusade-like meetings under a tent, God has used those that make up HBC as a constant gospel witness to this community, and throughout the world. We strive to do this in as many ways including systematic exposition of Scripture, Christ-centered fellowship, sharing the gosp

el in as many places as possible, etc. Our ministerial staff:

Sunday School Matters

We know Sunday mornings aren't easy. The alarm goes off, you're tired, the kids don't want to get up, someone can't find a shoe. Getting everyone dressed and out the door can feel like a battle you don’t want to fight. It’s hard enough just making it to Sunday morning worship.

So, is getting there a little earlier for Sunday School REALLY worth it?

We believe it is.

Sunday School gives us something we desperately need: time together around God's Word. It's a place to open the Bible, ask questions, have conversations, and learn alongside other believers. For our children and students, it's another opportunity to have the truth of Scripture poured into their lives. For adults, it's a chance to dig deeper, build relationships, encourage one another, and grow together.

We weren't meant to follow Jesus by ourselves. We need God's Word, and we need other believers who know us, pray for us, encourage us, and sometimes even challenge us.

So yes, some Sunday mornings it may take a little extra effort. But getting our families up, getting ourselves there, opening God's Word together, and growing alongside God's people is worth the effort.

Sunday School is an investment in our own spiritual growth, in our families, and in one another.
