Moses prophesied another like him & warned them to heed Him. Hebrews warns against falling into the same trap of disbelief. Faith isn't based on what's seen, but on the hope of what we've still yet to see.

If Abraham & Isaac were forerunners of the promised Messiah’s coming, Moses & Elijah were forerunners of Jesus’s earthly ministry. Jesus preached with fire, taught with authority, & healed unlike any other as proof that His words were true.

When shepherding people, wolves must still be dealt with, there's plenty of shoveling to do. But my congregation always complain when I try to sneak attack with shears. The Biblical model involves 3 categories: preaching, teaching & healing.

A shepherd’s first duty is to kill the wolves. You can't negotiate with those that come to kill, steal, & destroy. Next, a shepherd shovels p**p, of which sheep make a lot. Then the shepherd can do the fun part of caring for the sheep: feeding, shearing, etc.
