We are blessed to be able to host a benefit dinner and silent auction for a member of our sister congregation, St. Paul's, in Aleman. All proceeds will benefit our sister in Christ, Beth, after the complete loss of her home during the Rio Escondido fires this summer. The public is welcome to join us for food and and silent auction.

What a night! ❤️ I was so proud to see 20 people from St. John come together to represent our church at the Choices Pregnancy Resource Center banquet in Stephenville!

One of the highlights was hearing St. John get a shout-out during the presentation for the Pop-Up Boutiques we’ve partnered with Choices on over the past year. What a joy to see our church family putting faith into action and showing up with love for our community! Choices was able to raise well over $200,000 that evening.

We wrapped up the evening with an engaging message from New York Times bestselling author Lee Strobel—a wonderful finish to a meaningful night.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to all who have helped make these partnerships possible. I’m so grateful to be part of a church that cares deeply and serves faithfully. Our Endowment for Life pumps lots of well-intended dollars into pro-life causes in and around Hamilton. The Endowment Board purchased 2 tables and made those twenty seats available to anyone from St. John who was interested in learning more about the important pro-life work Choices does in our area. Love you, St. John!

Our discussion on question number five of our Bible study, “Christianity beyond the easy answers“. Today we discuss the doubts that can arise whenever we think about issues like predestination and our culture’s tendency toward a deterministic world view. I know that sounds technical… But you’d be surprised how much doubt it can create in the average Christians heart.
