This one is for the men in the church.

We are living in a generation that has learned how to disguise lust as entertainment.

Po*******hy is no longer confined to pornographic websites. It is woven into social media, short form videos, suggested content, and algorithms trained by what you repeatedly choose to watch.

The world calls it scrolling. But Jesus always deals with the truth of what’s in one’s heart.

“Everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:28.

Men, your eyes tell a story about what your heart desires.

The accounts you follow. The videos you linger over. The po*******hy you think nobody knows about. The second look when a woman walks past.

Women notice.

I’m even more sure your wife notices.

And what a very painful thing it is to feel compared and dishonored by the man who vowed to cherish you.

Paul commanded men to treat “younger women as sisters, in all purity.” 1 Timothy 5:2.

Women are also commanded to pursue modesty. But her responsibility before God has never removed yours.

Job did not make a covenant with women concerning what they wore.

“I have made a covenant with my eyes.”
Job 31:1.

So take radical action if you must.

Delete the apps.

Confess the po*******hy.

Stop following the accounts.

Get rid of the smartphone and get a flip phone if necessary.

“Make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” Romans 13:14.

There is a big difference between fighting lust and feeding it.

A Christian can battle sexual temptation fiercely. But habitual, protected, unrepentant sin with no desire for holiness should never be met with any casual assurance.

Scripture says, “Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith.” 2 Corinthians 13:5.

And thank God for the faithful men who guard their eyes, cherish their wives, treat women as sisters, confess when they fail, and pursue purity when nobody is watching.

The church does not need men who have learned how to hide their lust.

It needs holy men whose private lives agree with their public profession.

Christ is worthy of nothing less.
