There are 195 recognized countries in the world. Out of those 195 countries, there are around 8.3 billion people living in them. Out of that number only 2.4 to 2.6 billion identify to be Christian. That’s roughly 30% of the population world wide. This is session 6 and our lesson title is “A MISSION WITHOUT BOUNDARIES “. Our point to remember is SHARING THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST IS A PRIVILEGE THAT COULD TAKE YOU ANYWHERE. Since redemption comes through the gospel, the proclamation of the good news marks both the fulfillment of biblical prophecy and the church’s obedience to Jesus’s Great Commission to make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19-20.) Paul and Barnabas were called by God to go out from the church, and even the community where they had settled, to take the gospel to those who had yet to hear it. Every follower of Jesus has a role to play in God’s global mission, to share the gospel with others. We attended a commissioning service at a large church once before. It was promoted by the southern Baptist convention. These people were prayed over and given to God’s call to share the gospel with other countries as missionaries. Though many many in each generation that has lived since the resurrection of Jesus have rejected the gospel, someday, after the gospel has been proclaimed to the ends of the Earth, heaven will be filled with those from every nation, tribe, people, and language who heard and believed. From newscast to social media post to the thought that swirl in our minds, our natural, fallen state means that our attention is readily attracted to controversy, criticism, scandal, and outrage. Philippians 4:8: “ whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Sharing the message of Christ is a privilege that could take you anywhere. Be a witness. Share God’s love.
