Father God, we give You praise, honor, and glory for the opportunity to come before You in prayer, praise, worship, thanksgiving, and making our requests known before You.
You are the Great I Am that I Am, the God of miracles, signs, and wonders, the God of the impossible who does all things well. You are the One we can lean on, depend upon, and count on in every season of life.
This morning, we rise to tell You thank You for being God in our lives, the God who has always come through. You have never abandoned us, nor have You ever said one thing and done another. We honor You for being a God of Your Word, faithful and true in all Your ways.
This morning, we are thankful that we are able to come before You on behalf of those who are grieving and carrying the weight of loss.
For You are the God of all comfort, and You have given us the Holy Spirit to console and strengthen us in times of sorrow. Your Word declares, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
Today, we lift before You the family of Lady Shikina Christine Luckett
and family, Deaconess Kenya Walker-Ard and family, the Walker family and all the families that are grieving.
Father, comfort those who are hurting and weeping over the loss of their loved ones. Surround them with Your love, encourage their hearts, and strengthen them for the journey ahead.
Grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them not to charge You foolishly or give ear to the lies of the enemy, but to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, so that they will not grow weary or faint in their minds. Help them to trust You in this place, knowing that You are the same God in the valley as You are on the mountain.
May Your presence sustain them, Your grace uphold them, and Your peace fill their hearts. Give them strength for each day, courage for every moment, and hope for the future. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that Your love never fails.
As they walk through this season of grief, let them experience Your comforting presence in a very real way. May family, friends, and the body of Christ rally around them with love, support, and encouragement.
Grant them Your peace that transcends all understanding, and may they find the strength to praise You even in the midst of their storm, confident that You remain sovereign, faithful, and good.
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus, we pray.
Amen. Pastor Shirley Ard
