The Palmetto Family Council is a Christian nonprofit organization, whose mission is to glorify God and advance the Gospel by providing a voice for biblical values in the state's centers of influence. The Council advocates for religious liberty, the sanctity of human life, traditional marriage, parental rights, and educational freedom. Through legislative advocacy, public education, and partnerships with churches, it seeks to influence public policy from a biblical worldview.

The Council has released a voters guide to help them in the upcoming election. The guide shows where candidates stand on issues from the Biblical worldview perspective.

You will find a link to the guide below. We do not offer this as and endorsement of any particular candidate, only as a resource as we encourage you to vote and to vote with a Biblical perspective as your guide.

Thank you to the South Carolina Church of God state office, Bishop Toby & Diane Morgan, and the hundreds of Church of God pastors for allowing us to host the 2026 South Carolina Church of God Ministers Meeting at our facilities. It was a pleasure seeing so many friendly faces & worshipping together as we took care of the business of the church. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Special congratulations to Senior Pastor Jerry Madden on his election to the State Council. Additionally, congratulations to Student Pastor Bo Madden & Children’s Pastor Donna Burdette on their election to the Youth & Discipleship board.

"Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways." — Proverbs 4:26 (ESV)

Every single day, we navigate an endless stream of choices. Research suggests that the average adult makes roughly 35,000 decisions every twenty-four hours. From routine choices about what to wear or what route to drive, to deep relational and spiritual choices, our days are filled with constant decision-making.

While many choices feel trivial or subconscious, Scripture reminds us that every decision sets a trajectory for our lives. Decisions set direction, and direction ultimately determines destiny. When unexpected trials or spiritual famines hit, our immediate reaction reveals where our trust truly lies.

Do we make decisions out of panic and self-preservation, or do we weigh our paths carefully through the lens of God's Word?

God has a divine destiny for your life, but He does not force you down the path of righteousness. You must actively choose to walk step-by-step in alignment with His gospel. When you yield your daily choices to the Holy Spirit, you ensure that your steps lead toward God’s fullness rather than spiritual displacement.

What daily decisions are you currently making on autopilot without consulting God?

Make this your prayer today:
Lord God, guide my steps today and give me spiritual discernment in every decision I make. Help me to align my daily choices with Your holy Word so that my life reflects Your truth. Amen.

Pastor Jonathan McClain accepted the Spartanburg County’s Department of Veterans Affairs award recognizing Praise Cathedral’s Veteran Outreach Ministry for exceptional service and support to veterans, veteran's families, and veteran outreach in Spartanburg County. We receive this honor with humility and gratitude.

We also want to recognize Mr. Jody Stedman for his leadership efforts in a vital ministry to our veterans and their families. Thank you Pastor Jerry Madden, volunteers, and entire church family for all you do to touch the lives of veterans throughout our community. Your prayers, generosity, and faithful support help us share the love of Christ through compassionate service.

"In the days when the judges ruled, there was a famine in the land, and a man of Bethlehem in Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons." — Ruth 1:1 (ESV)

Devotional: When reading the Old Testament prior to the Book of Ruth, God’s work appears centered primarily on the nation of Israel and key leaders like Abraham, Moses, and Joshua. These sweeping historical narratives highlight kings, patriarchs, and massive national deliverances. Yet, when the narrative opens in Ruth, the lens shifts radically to a small family experiencing hardship—a farmer, a grieving widow, and an immigrant woman from Moab.

This shift demonstrates a core truth about God's character: His love is not confined to the socially elite, the wealthy, or the religiously prominent. God’s love routinely steps over human-made boundaries to reach those on the margins of society. Whether marginalized by heritage, background, or economic standing, no one sits outside the reach of God's affection. His grace welcomes those whom society often overlooks.

Ask yourself:
Have you ever felt marginalized or overlooked by others?
How does God’s attention toward Ruth comfort you?
Who in your community or church might feel "outside the margins" right now?

Take A Step: Reach out to someone this week who may feel unnoticed, isolated, or marginalized, offering them a word of encouragement.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that Your love knows no borders or favoritism. Open my eyes to see people the way You see them, especially those on the margins. Help me to extend Your unconditional love to everyone I meet today. Amen.
