🎡 It Takes ALL of Us | We Still Need Volunteers! 💙💛

The countdown is on, the tents will be going up, and soon our parish grounds will be filled with thousands of family members, friends, neighbors, and familiar faces enjoying a tradition we all love. ❤️

But before the lights come on and the first ride begins to spin, we need your help.

We still have holes in our volunteer schedule that must be filled for the Festival to run safely and smoothly. Every booth, meal, game, parking area, and activity depends on someone from our community saying, “I can give a few hours.”

⏰ Most shifts are just 2.5 HOURS!
That's 2.5 hours of your weekend to serve—and still plenty of time to enjoy the Festival with your family and friends.

Come with your spouse. Sign up with another family. Grab a group of friends. Meet someone new. You don't need special experience—you just need to show up. We'll take it from there. 🙏

This Festival has never been the work of one committee or a handful of people. It takes sponsors who generously give, volunteers who show up, families who participate, and a parish and school community willing to work together.

That's how we make “The Greatest Little Festival East of the Mississippi” so GREAT. 🎡

If you've been thinking about volunteering, this is our call to you. We need you. 💙💛

Sunday Reflection | September 13, 2026
God Never Stops Seeking Us

No matter how far we may wander, God never stops seeking us. His love is patient, merciful, and constant. When we lose our way, He does not turn away from us—He lovingly calls us back and rejoices when we return to Him.

As you begin this new week, remember that you are never beyond the reach of God's love. Take time to recognize the ways He is drawing you closer to Him, and ask for the grace to extend that same mercy, patience, and compassion to others.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me even when I wander. Help me recognize Your voice calling me back to You. Give me a merciful heart so that I may welcome, forgive, and love others as You love me. Amen.

🎶 Live Music | Friday Night at the Festival!

There’s something special about Friday night at the SSFC Fall Festival. ❤️🎡

The lights are glowing, the rides are spinning, friends and families are gathered together, and live music fills the air. It’s the kind of night that reminds us why this weekend has become such a beloved tradition in our parish and community.

🎸 FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25
🎤 TASTE LIKE CHICKEN
⏰ 7:30–10:30 PM | Entertainment Stage

Kick off Fall Festival weekend with the high-energy sounds of Tastes Like Chicken! With incredible vocals and a crowd-pleasing mix of rock, pop, funk, dance hits, classic favorites, and modern chart-toppers, they’ll have you singing along and dancing under the festival lights.

Grab some festival food, find your friends, bring the family, and settle in for a night of great music and even better company. Because the best part of Fall Festival isn't just what's happening on the stage—it's who you're sharing the night with. 💙💛

Come for the music. Stay for the memories. Be part of the tradition. 🎶🎡

Faith. Family. Friends. Community. Tradition. That’s the SSFC Fall Festival.

In Remembrance of September 11, 2001

Today, we pause in prayerful remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the men and women who selflessly helped strangers, and the countless acts of courage, sacrifice, and compassion that emerged in the midst of unimaginable tragedy.

As a parish family, we ask God to comfort those who continue to mourn, protect all who serve our communities and nation, and guide us to be instruments of His peace in a world that so deeply needs it.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen. 🙏

May we remember. May we pray. May we never forget.

🎁 Giant Silent Auction | Given With Love

Behind every basket, package, and item in our Giant Silent Auction is something even bigger: community. ❤️

Businesses donate. Parishioners give. Volunteers collect, organize, decorate, and set it all up. Friends bid against friends—with a little friendly competition, of course! 😉 And together, it becomes another Fall Festival tradition that supports the parish community we love.

That is what makes this weekend so special. It isn't one person or one committee—it is hundreds of people sharing their gifts and working together.

🙏 And we still need YOU! Festival volunteer spots are still available. Serve alongside your spouse, your friends, another SSFC family, or someone you haven't met yet. By the end of your shift, chances are you'll have a few new friends.

There are three easy ways to volunteer:

🥧 Live Pie Auction | Baked Into Our Tradition

A homemade pie may be made with flour, butter, sugar, and fruit—but around here, we think there’s a little more baked into it. ❤️

There’s time. Love. Family recipes. Generosity. And tradition.

Our Live Pie Auction celebrates all of it. Each homemade pie represents someone willing to share a gift with our parish family—and every spirited bid adds to the laughter and memories that make Fall Festival weekend so special.

It might get a little competitive. 😉 But at the heart of it is a community coming together to support a place we all call home.

🥧 WE STILL NEED PIE BAKERS!
Have a favorite family recipe? A pie everyone asks you to bring to gatherings? We would love for you to share it with our parish family! We’re still looking for bakers to donate homemade pies for this year’s Live Pie Auction. Your pie could be the one everyone is bidding on!

🙏 We also still need festival volunteers! Whether you give a few hours behind a booth, sell tickets, help guests, or lend a hand wherever needed, you become part of the tradition.

Come be part of it!

Because years from now, we may not remember who won every pie—but we’ll remember the people, laughter, and traditions we shared along the way. 💙💛

Happy Labor Day from Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi!

On this Labor Day, we pause to give thanks for the gift of work and for all those whose talents, dedication, and service strengthen our families and our community.

As Catholics, we are reminded that our daily work—whether at home, in the workplace, at school, or in service to others—can be an opportunity to glorify God and serve our neighbor. 🙏

May the Lord bless the work of our hands and grant rest to all who labor.

St. Joseph the Worker, pray for us! ✝️
