On Sunday, Pastor Josh concluded our Christianity Examined sermon series with John 1:1–18 and the question, “Why Do We Search for More?”

Throughout this series, we’ve wrestled with questions about our universe, our existence, and what it means to believe. This week, Josh explored the restlessness within us that keeps us searching for something more, drawing on the writings of Augustine, C.S. Lewis, Pascal, and Kierkegaard.

In John’s Gospel, we encounter the bold Christian claim that God has revealed God’s self to us. The Word became flesh, bringing light into the darkness and making God known to us.

Our questions and reason can lead us toward deeper understanding, but faith ultimately asks us to take another step. Faith isn’t abandoning reason or pretending we have certainty—it is trust and relationship.

On Sunday, Pastor Josh continued our Christianity Examined sermon series with Acts 17:22–33 and the question, “Why Does the Universe Make Sense?”

As Paul spoke to the people of Athens, Josh explored what it means to make sense of the unknown as we seek to understand both God and the universe around us.

We also explored the paradox at the heart of our faith: God is knowable, yet God is transcendent. We can come to know something about God, while also recognizing that God is beyond our ability to fully understand.

As we continue Christianity Examined, we are reminded that asking questions and wrestling with what we don’t understand can be part of our journey of faith.

On Sunday, Pastor Josh began our new sermon series, Christianity Examined, with the question: “Why Is There Something Rather Than Nothing?”

Our faith invites us to ask questions—and sometimes those questions lead to even more questions. In this message, Josh explored how doubt and curiosity can lead us toward greater truths as we honestly examine what we believe through science, philosophy, and theology.

Looking at Romans 1:19–20 and three big questions about the existence and intelligibility of our universe, Josh reminded us that we don’t have to choose between faith and science, or leave our questions at the door. Christian faith can survive examination. We can bring our questions, our doubts, and our curiosity with us as we seek greater understanding of God.

On Sunday, Pastor Mandie concluded our Miracles of Jesus sermon series with the story of Lazarus in John 11:1–44.

As Mary and Martha grieved the loss of their brother, Jesus met them in their sorrow. Before demonstrating His power over death, Jesus first shared in their grief, reminding us that we never walk through life's hardest moments alone.

This miracle points us to the heart of Christ—a Savior who weeps with us, walks beside us in our pain, and brings hope even when all seems lost. Through Lazarus' story, we're invited to trust that God's presence remains with us, even in seasons of grief and uncertainty.

As you reflect on this week's message, consider:
Where have you experienced Christ's presence in the midst of hardship?
How is Jesus inviting you to hold onto hope, even when the path ahead feels uncertain?

On Sunday, Pastor Mandie continued our Miracles of Jesus sermon series with the story of Jesus healing the demon-possessed man in Matthew 9:32–34.

When Jesus cast out the demon, the crowds were amazed, saying, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel." Yet while many witnessed the same miracle, not everyone responded the same way. Some were filled with wonder, while others questioned Jesus' authority.

As we reflected on this passage, Pastor Mandie invited us to consider why the Gospels are filled with miracle stories. These miracles aren't simply extraordinary events—they reveal who Jesus is. They point to His power, His authority, and the truth that Jesus is more than just a teacher or prophet. They invite us to place our faith in Him.

Pastor Mandie left us with a simple invitation inspired by the poet Mary Oliver:
Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.

As you reflect on this week's message, consider:
Where have you seen God's power at work in your life?
How is Jesus inviting you to trust Him more deeply?

Last day of Kids Craft Camp!

The kids and volunteers had so much fun this week making crafts, sharing stories and laughs, and growing together in faith and friendship.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers, staff, and families who helped make this week possible. We are so grateful for the time, creativity, and love that went into making Kids Craft Camp such a meaningful experience with our community.
