Sunday, October 25th Recap:

“The essence of idolatry is wanting God’s stuff without God.

God doesn’t discipline Christians with his absence. He disciplines them with his presence.

There is no probation for sons and daughters. They turn around, come home, and find the Father running toward them.“

🍂 Picnic in the Patch is almost here!

Join Citylights and our Northside neighbors on Sunday, October 25, from 5–8 PM for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship.

Bring a dish to share, your chairs, and your favorite yard games. We’ll have s’mores, hot chocolate, a bounce house, and games for the kids!

We can’t wait to spend the evening together. 🧡

Sunday Big Picture Recap | Exodus 32

⚪️Idolatry is not only rejecting Jesus for another god; it is redefining Jesus in our image.

⚪️When God seems to take too long, we are tempted to create a god who fits our story instead of trusting the God who saves sinners.

⚪️Jesus is not the God of our success—he is the God of our salvation.

⚪️Freedom comes when we find our idols, repent of our idols, and confess our idols.
