We had our last service at the Sweetbriar location this past Sunday. It was a somewhat gloomy day, but warm inside the small building we’ve called home for the past few years. God has done many things for Citylights in this building, and now it’s time for us to move on. Excited for this next chapter for us!

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who’s come out and helped with renovations at Northside!

Hey! If you haven’t heard already, we’re moving!

We’ve been working hard these last few months with preparations and renovations at Northside Methodist Church and are now almost at the finish line!

This move is part of a partnership with Northside- we’re not merging-but they are graciously allowing us to use their building and facilities together with them, as we have outgrown our sweetbriar location.
We are thankful with how God has blessed the Citylights’ family and grown us tremendously this last year, and desperately needed a bigger building! Northside was the answer to our prayers and we are excited to welcome in this new era for our communities and get to know them better with this move.

We’ve only got one week left at our sweetbriar location and then a virtual week, and then full on at Northside after that! We look forward to this new adventure!

City class this Sunday!

It’s April 🌸
And it’s a beautiful time to remember the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the man of sorrows, and the life of servitude and sacrifice he lived.
He died so we could live, “…who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews‬ ‭12‬‬:‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“[W]ho, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
