Well, this is the culprit. The F5 — arguably the single most critically essential piece of equipment in The Vault. It's the firewall, the gateway, the traffic controller for the entire infrastructure.
Our leadership team worked late into the night to trace the problem down to a single failed component buried deep within this unit. One failed component is all it took to give us so much grief. We are currently in the midst of a long-running repair process that will take several more hours, so we will resume in the morning.
The ironic thing is that less than 24 hours ago, I mentioned in a meeting how pleased I was that the F5 hardware specifically had never failed us even once. Apparently, I spoke too soon.
The Lord continues to teach us that without Him we can do absolutely nothing.
