Here's today's devotion, from 2 Corinthians 10. Facing a group of false "apostles" who had slipped into Corinth and were trying to undercut Paul's leadership, Paul displayed what true authority looks like for one who has been genuinely called by Christ as a witness. The charlatans accused Paul of being bold in letters, but weak in person, but Paul informed the church that upon his arrival, they would see that the Holy Spirit's power would be there to back up his teaching. The application point for us, Christ's witnesses, is that we are not going out in our own strength or abilities either. We are filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit, and we don't need to fear those who would silence our Gospel message. We can clearly speak the truth, in love.
