Today, September 8, we celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary – the birth of the woman whose faithful “yes” would open the way for the coming of Christ. From the beginning, Mary’s life was part of God’s saving plan. Her feast reminds us that God is quietly at work long before we can see the fullness of what He is preparing. May we trust His providence and, like Mary, allow our lives to bring Jesus into the world. Blessed Mother, pray for us!

As you have heard at Mass... construction on the new driveway and parking spaces (DLA 2026 Project) is beginning.

For this weekend's Masses (Saturday, August 29th and Sunday, August 30th) and the near future, please use the front entrance drop off for handicap access. The side door by the rectory will not be accessible.

The side door by the gazebo will be open before weekend Masses as the closest option for those parking in the lower parking lot.

Remember... a short-term inconvenience for a long-term improvement!

This morning Bishop Kulick received word from Fr. Michael Sikon’s brother that over this past weekend Fr. Michael’s condition worsened dramatically and that he is no longer alert or responsive. Bishop asks that you especially hold Fr. Michael and his family close in prayer. He is resting comfortably, and we trust that he is surrounded by the love and prayers of his family and so many who care deeply for him.

Today, Adoration is taking place today until 11:00 p.m. at St. Barbara. If you are able, please consider spending some time before the Blessed Sacrament offering prayers for Fr. Michael’s peace and comfort, and strength and consolation for his family.
