The Rock Bible Church

The Rock Bible Church The Rock Bible Church exists to glorify God by making disciples. Our focus is to equip people to be disciples and disciple-makers.

We believe God is glorified as we live on mission, baptizing, and teaching others to follow Jesus.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” // Proverbs 3:5-6

When life feels confusing or doesn’t go the way we expected, we can still choose to trust that God sees the bigger picture even when we can’t. Instead of trying to control every outcome on our own, we’re invited to surrender our plans, worries, and decisions to Him, seeking His wisdom and guidance in each step we take. As difficult as that can be, we can rest in knowing that His ways are ultimately better than ours, and He is faithful to lead us where we need to go.

What area of your life are you still trying to control instead of trusting God with?

At The Rock Bible Church, prayer isn’t just something we do; it’s foundational to who we are.

We believe God works powerfully through the prayers of His people. Whether it’s during our corporate gatherings, special prayer nights, or in the quiet moments throughout the week, we are committed to seeking the Lord together. Prayer aligns our hearts with God’s will, deepens our dependence on Him, and strengthens the unity of the body.

Every week, our elders gather to pray over you, your needs, and your victories. If you are walking through a dark season or are celebrating an answered prayer, we would love to pray for you. Leave your request in the comments or send us a message!

This Mother’s Day, we thank God for the gift of mothers.
Motherhood is a high calling; one that reflects sacrificial love, steadfast care, and daily faithfulness. Whether through nurturing, teaching, praying, or simply being present, mothers play a vital role in shaping lives for generations.

Scripture reminds us of the value of a godly woman:
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” // Proverbs 31:26

Today, we honor and celebrate the mothers in our church and community. Your work often goes unseen, but it is never unnoticed by the Lord.

We also recognize that this day can be joyful for some and difficult for others. Wherever you find yourself today, we pray you experience the comfort and grace of God.

Happy Mother’s Day from The Rock Bible Church!

This past week, our church gathered for a powerful night of worship and prayer - and what a sweet time it was!

We were reminded that God is faithful, present, and worthy of all our praise. Through song, Scripture, and prayer, we sought the Lord together and were encouraged by His promises.
Moments like these strengthen our faith and unite us as the body of Christ.

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him…” (Psalm 145:18)

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree.” // 1 Peter 2:24

The cross is not merely an example of love; it is the place of substitution and satisfaction.
Jesus did not die to make salvation possible in a vague sense. He bore the full weight of sin, absorbing the wrath of God that we deserved. The justice due to us was poured out on Him, and in exchange, we are counted righteous.

This is not sentimental. It is costly.
If we treat sin lightly, we will inevitably treat the cross lightly. But when we see sin for what it is — rebellion against a holy God — the cross becomes weighty, necessary, and glorious.
The question is not just “Do I believe in the cross?” It’s “Do I live like it cost Jesus something?”

Application: Examine where you may be minimizing or tolerating sin in your life. Bring it honestly before the Lord; not defensively, but repentantly.

Call to Action: Spend intentional time in confession today. Name specific sins, then thank Christ specifically for bearing those on the cross.

“It is finished.” // John 19:30

Good Friday is not the end of the story, but it is the moment everything changed.
On the cross, Jesus bore the weight of sin, satisfied the wrath of God, and accomplished what we could never do for ourselves. His sacrifice was not partial; it was complete.

Because of the cross, we are forgiven.
Because of the cross, we are reconciled.
Because of the cross, we have hope.

Join us as we remember the depth of His love and the cost of our redemption.

“He is not here, for He has risen.” // Matthew 28:6

The grave is empty. Death is defeated. Jesus is alive.
Easter is more than just a celebration. It is the foundation of our faith. If Christ is risen, everything changes.
Sin no longer has the final word.
Death no longer has victory.
Hope is alive, and His name is Jesus.

Join us this Easter as we celebrate the resurrection and the new life we have in Him.
