As a funeral director, there are moments in this vocation that weigh especially heavy on the heart. The loss of two young lives from one family in our community is one of those moments.
There truly are no words sufficient for such a tragedy. Yet, in the midst of profound sorrow, we have witnessed something deeply moving — the power of God's love and community.
We have seen prayers lifted without ceasing. Novenas and rosaries offered with devotion. Donations given generously. Floral arrangements sent with love. Long lines of friends, classmates, teachers, colleagues, and neighbors coming to the visitation simply to stand in solidarity with this grieving family.
This is what it means to belong to a community. This is what it means to carry one another.
To everyone who has reached out, shown up, prepared food, sent messages, prayed, or simply sat in silence — thank you. Your presence matters more than you know.
For those unable to attend in person, we will be livestreaming the Mass of Christian Burial here on our page, Henderson - Van Atta - Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, so that all who wish may join in prayer.
Please continue to keep this family in your prayers in the days and weeks ahead. Grief does not end with the funeral, and your continued love and support will remain a great comfort.
