Yesterday begins my journey with shepherding the Young Adult community of Sacred Heart, Jurupa Valley…we had a great 1st meeting and all the young adults were so on fire with God. I’ll be journeying with these Young Adults in hopes of forming missionary disciples. Please pray for us as the Holy Spirit guides us in building the Kingdom of God together.

VOCATIONS REPORT | 2026

According to the 2026 USCCB report, 92% of ordinands were personally encouraged to consider the priesthood — most often by a parish priest (70%).

Before entering seminary:

• 79% served as altar servers
• 81% attended Eucharistic Adoration
• 79% regularly prayed the Rosary
• 64% participated in a parish youth group
• 52% participated in a Bible study

The numbers point toward something simple:

Vocations are cultivated through relationship.

In our parishes. In our ministries. In prayer. And through priests willing to walk with young men, recognize what God may be doing in their lives, and simply ask:

“Have you ever considered the priesthood?”
