But what if the problem is the leadership?
One reason many Churches struggle to grow is not because of negative people, but because of leaders who refuse to listen.
These are the leaders who reject every concern, take every question as a personal attack, dismiss constructive criticism, and surround themselves only with people who agree with them.
Out of fear of losing authority, they often silence voices that could bring needed correction. They spend more time protecting their position than examining their direction.
The Church is called to honor its leaders, but leaders are also called to serve the people entrusted to them.
There comes a time when leaders must stop asking, "Why are people leaving?" and start asking, "Have we given them a reason to stay?"
LOOK IN THE MIRROR.
This does not mean leaders must surrender to every opinion or follow every demand. But there comes a point when humility requires them to consider that not every opposing voice is an enemy; some may be God's instrument for correction.
A Church cannot move forward when its members refuse to follow, but neither can it thrive when its leaders refuse to listen and grow.
Stop dismissing every concern as rebellion; listen, learn, and grow. Shepherd the flock with humility, lead with integrity, and remember that spiritual authority is strongest when it is clothed with accountability.
