A Thursday thought from a little book we don’t turn to very often. 🤍

“Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Give careful thought to your ways.’”
— Haggai 1:5

That’s it.
Not work harder.
Not do more.
Not get everything figured out.
Just… consider your ways.

Where is your time going?
What has been getting the best of your attention?
What are you chasing?
And somewhere in all the noise—where have you made room for God?
We can fill every hour of the day and still feel empty at the end of it.
Maybe today, God isn’t asking us to add one more thing to our list.
Maybe He’s simply asking us to look at the life we’re already living and ask:
Is the way I’m spending my days leading me closer to Him?

A little Thursday reminder to slow down long enough to “give careful thought to your ways.” 🤍

Let’s pray. 🤍

Lord, help us to give careful thought to our ways. Show us where we’ve become too busy, too distracted, or too focused on things that don’t draw us closer to You. Help us quiet the noise, realign our hearts, and make room for what truly matters. Guide our steps today and keep our eyes fixed on You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏼

Maybe today doesn’t need another to-do list.

Maybe it needs a prayer.

Lord, quiet the noise around us long enough for us to hear You.
Interrupt our plans if You need to.
Put someone on our hearts who needs encouragement.
Show us where You’re already working—and give us the courage to join You there.
Help us notice the blessings we’ve been walking right past.
And above all, make us a little more like Jesus today.
We may not know what today holds, but we know Who goes with us. ❤️

“Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” — 1 Samuel 3:10

And if God puts someone on your heart today… don’t just think about them. Pray for them. Then reach out. 🙏

Tonight, stadium lights will come on all across our communities. Bands will play, cheerleaders will cheer, student sections will get loud, and athletes will take the field.

Before the first whistle blows, we’re taking a moment to pray. 🤍

🙏 For the athletes — protection, strength, and good sportsmanship.
🙏 For the cheerleaders, bands & students — joy, confidence, and memories they’ll carry with them.
🙏 For the coaches & staff — wisdom, patience, and the ability to lead these young people well.
🙏 For the officials — safety and good judgment.
🙏 For the parents and families in the stands — safe travels, grateful hearts and kind competition.
🙏 And for every local school taking the field tonight — may competition bring our communities together rather than divide us.

There may be different colors under those Friday night lights, but every jersey belongs to a kid who is loved deeply by God.

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

Play hard. Cheer loud. Be kind. Get home safely. 🏈❤️

🙏 A Back-to-School Prayer 🎒✏️

Heavenly Father,
As backpacks are packed, classrooms are opened, and another school year begins, we place our children and our schools in Your hands.

Go before every student. Calm the nervous hearts, give courage to the ones walking into something new, and help each child know that they are wonderfully made, deeply loved, and never alone.

Bless our teachers with patience, wisdom, and joy. Strengthen our aides, administrators, counselors, cafeteria workers, custodians, bus drivers, coaches, and every person who will pour into our children this year.

Give parents peace as we send our children out the door. Help us remember that even when they are outside of our sight, they are never outside of Yours.

Lord, let our schools be places of kindness over cruelty, courage over fear, friendship over loneliness, and grace when mistakes are made.

Protect our children as they travel, learn, play, compete, grow, and find their way.

And most of all, help each of us—young and old—to carry Your light wherever this school year takes us.

“The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8

Here’s to a safe, joyful, and blessed school year. ❤️

A prayer for your Sunday morning. 🤍

Lord, quiet the noise of the week behind us and the worries about the week ahead.
Help us to be present today.
Open our hearts to what You want to teach us.
Help us worship without distraction.
Let us notice the person who needs a smile, a conversation, or simply someone to sit beside them.
And when we leave church today, help us carry what we heard beyond those doors.
Don’t just meet us at church, Lord. Go with us into our week.
Amen. ❤️

Maybe somebody needs this reminder today:

God is still working in the parts of your story that don’t make sense yet.

The prayer that hasn’t been answered.
The door that closed.
The season that feels longer than you expected.
The thing you’re still waiting on.

You may not be able to see what He’s doing yet — but you can trust who He is.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Keep going. Keep praying. Keep trusting. 🤍

THURSDAY CHALLENGE: Can you make it ONE DAY without complaining? 👀

No complaining about work.
No complaining about the weather.
No complaining about the person driving 12 mph under the speed limit. 😅
No complaining about the laundry, the kids, the bills, or the never-ending list.

And when you catch yourself about to complain — replace it with gratitude.

Instead of “I have to…” try “I get to…”

“I have to go to work.” → “I get to provide.”
“I have to make dinner.” → “I have people to feed.”
“I have to run another errand.” → “I’m able to go.”

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing.” — Philippians 2:14
