Today we recognized Peyton Douglas for graduating from Chatham Central High School. As a student, she was Summa Cum Laude, Salutatorian, President of the Student Government Association, Editor of the Yearbook, and Recipient of the NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship along with being the recipient of other local scholarships. And as a member of Bethany Baptist Church, she’s generously served in the nursery on a weekly basis, preparing Bible lessons and crafts for young children. Everyone at Bethany can testify that Peyton is an extremely generous person, and we’re excited to see how the Lord continues to use her as she continues her education at NC State to major in elementary education.

Two weeks ago, the “Cub Bible Club” read about Jesus’ teaching that He’s the Lord of the Sabbath in response to the accusations of the Pharisees (Matthew 12:1-14).

It was a great Mother’s Day at Bethany where we expressed our thankfulness for the righteous women God put in our lives.
