📢 COMMUNITY FEEDING REMINDER

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, we will not have our Community Feeding this week.

Our volunteers show up week after week to prepare, pack, deliver, and serve meals to our neighbors. This week, we’re giving our incredible team some well-deserved time to rest, regroup, and reset. ❤️

🍽️ We’ll be back next week, ready to serve our community!

🍽️❤️ WE’RE CLOSING OUT AUGUST AT THE TABLE!

August has been FULL at Mt. Herman.

We’ve worshipped.
We’ve celebrated Homecoming.
We’ve welcomed family and friends.
We’ve experienced Revival.
We’ve served.
We’ve partnered.
And through it all, every Monday we’ve kept setting the table.

Tonight is no different. ❤️

Join us for another Goldston Community Table meal as our volunteers cook, serve, pack, and deliver hot meals throughout our community.

Thank you to the 7+ churches working alongside us.

Thank you to our eight volunteer delivery drivers who take meals beyond our church doors every week.

Thank you to our community partners who continue helping us meet the growing need.

And thank YOU for sharing our posts, telling your neighbors, donating, volunteering, and believing in what this ministry can become.

The Goldston Community Table isn’t about one church doing everything.

It’s about a community deciding that we can do more when we do it TOGETHER. ❤️

🙌🏾❤️ WHAT A MONTH AT MT. HERMAN!

We can’t help but look back over August and simply say…

THANK YOU, GOD.

This month we’ve worshipped together.

🏠 We welcomed family HOME for Homecoming.

❤️ We filled the church with family and friends.

🔥 We gathered for two nights of Revival.

🍽️ We continued serving our neighbors every Monday through the Goldston Community Table.

🤝 We watched churches, community partners, volunteers, and neighbors continue to come together in service.

And through it all, God has continued to remind us that the church is so much more than what happens inside four walls.

It’s worship.
It’s service.
It’s fellowship.
It’s community.
It’s FAMILY. ❤️

And August isn’t quite over yet! We’re grateful for where God has brought us, and we’re excited about what’s ahead.

❤️ COMMUNITY TABLE SPOTLIGHT: MRS. DOT, AKA “MAMA HALL” ❤️

If you’ve spent much time around the Goldston Community Table, chances are you know Mrs. Dot.

Around here, she’s also known as Mama Hall, and at 87 years young, she continues to show ALL of us how it’s done. 👠❤️

First things first… Mama Hall is going to arrive dressed to the NINES. And don’t let the 87 fool you because she may very well be doing it in a pair of 6-inch heels! 😂🙌🏾

But what we love most about Mrs. Dot is her heart.

She is one of our faithful Community Table participants, but she never comes thinking only about herself. She regularly brings our volunteers a sweet treat, supports the ministry however she can, and even helps deliver meals to others in the community.

That right there is what the Goldston Community Table is all about.

We may prepare the food, but the people who gather around this table have created a COMMUNITY.

People looking out for people.
Neighbors serving neighbors.
And sometimes an 87-year-old in six-inch heels reminding the rest of us that we’re perfectly capable of helping too. 😂❤️

Mama Hall, we see you, we appreciate you, and we are so thankful you are part of our Community Table family.

Thank you for every treat, every delivery, every laugh, and most importantly, for simply showing up and loving your community so well.

👠 87 years young and STILL serving.

🔥 REVIVAL STARTS TONIGHT! 🔥

Homecoming reminded us where we’ve come from.

Now it’s time to be renewed for where God is taking us.

Tonight, we gather at Mt. Herman for Night One of Revival, and we are coming with expectation! 🙌🏾

Maybe you need encouragement.

Maybe you need restoration.

Maybe you’ve been spiritually tired.

Maybe life has simply been LIFE lately, and you need a place to worship, pray, and hear a Word.

Come tonight. ❤️

You don’t have to be a member of Mt. Herman.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t even have to come with anybody.

Just get in the room.

❤️ 179 MEALS SERVED TONIGHT! ❤️

Another Monday at Goldston Community Table, and tonight 179 meals made their way into the hands and homes of our neighbors! But here’s what we really want people to know: Goldston Community Table is bigger than one church. It’s COMMUNITY.

Our goal is simple. We just want to love on people. ❤️ No matter what church you attend, where you live, whether you’re coming for a meal or coming to help serve one, there’s a place for you at this table. And as we continue serving 175+ meals week after week, we could use some more hands! 🙌🏽

🚗 Deliver: Take a route occasionally and give some of our faithful weekly delivery volunteers a much-deserved break.

🍽️ Serve: Help us pack, hand out meals, visit with our neighbors, or clean up.

👩🏽‍🍳 Cook: Love being in the kitchen? Come help us prepare a Monday meal!

You don’t have to commit every week. Once a month, every few weeks, or even just when you’re available helps. Many hands really do make light work.

Interested in volunteering? Contact Ashley Palmer at 919-842-9422 and we’ll find a place for you.

And if serving with your hands isn’t possible but you’d still like to support the table, donations help us purchase food, supplies, containers, and everything else it takes to put nearly 200 meals out each Monday.

❤️ Yesterday we gathered for Homecoming. Today, we SERVE.

It’s Monday, which means the doors are opening again at Mt. Herman, this time for the Goldston Community Table! 🍽️

Every Monday, our volunteers come together to cook, serve, pack, and deliver meals throughout our community.

No qualifications.
No questions.
No cost.

Just a hot meal and a seat at the table. ❤️

Serving isn’t just something we say. It’s how we love, every day. ❤️

This morning at Mt. Herman, our Missionary and Children’s Departments were busy bagging school supplies and realized we had quite a bit left over. So we thought, why not share with our teacher neighbors at J.S. Waters School? ✏️📚🍎

And while we’re at it, teachers, we want to say THANK YOU! Your dedication, patience, and love for our children make a difference every single day.

We’d also love to invite our teachers and staff to come and join us for the Goldston Community Table every Monday at 5:30 PM. Come grab dinner, take a break from cooking, and let your neighbors serve YOU for a change! ❤️

And for the rest of our community, if you have extra school supplies, consider reaching out to your local school and asking for the guidance counselor. They know which students and families could use a little extra support. It doesn’t have to be a lot. Even a pack of paper, pencils, crayons, or notebooks can make an impact.

Small gestures become big blessings when we all do our part.

At Mt. Herman, serving our community isn’t just an event on the calendar. It’s how we love our neighbors. ❤️
