During today’s plenary session, delegates voted to allow Bishops Carolyn Moore and John Pena Auta to stand for episcopal election at General Conference 2026. The vote follows guidance from the Book of Doctrines and Discipline, which limits the number of interim bishops that may be elected to a full six-year episcopal term at General Conference.
