One of the oldest lessons in witchcraft wasn't about herbs...

Or the moon.

Or even spells.

It was knowing when to remain silent.

Across Europe, village cunning folk and wise women often lived quietly. They didn't spend their days convincing people of their gifts or explaining every belief they held. Much of their knowledge was passed softly—from teacher to student, from grandmother to grandchild, from observation of the land itself.

There was an old understanding that not every seed should be dug up to prove it had been planted.

Some things need darkness before they can grow.

Nature has always worked this way.

The strongest roots grow where no one can see them.

The moon disappears before she becomes full again.

Seeds split open beneath the soil long before they ever reach the light.

Perhaps we aren't meant to explain every change we're going through.

Perhaps every dream doesn't need an audience.

Perhaps every sacred moment loses a little of its magic when we're asked to prove it.

I've found that some of the deepest moments on this path have happened in complete silence.

Watching the tide.

Finding a feather at just the right time.

Listening to the birds before the world wakes up.

Standing beneath the moon with no words at all.

Maybe that's why the old ways still speak to so many of us.

They remind us that not everything sacred has to be seen.

Some of the strongest magic you'll ever carry...

Will be the kind you quietly live.

🌿

Blessed be.
