PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH | PASTOR JON & PASTOR KATIE

Some people are called to lead a church, but others pour their lives into building a family. We are so blessed to have pastors who do both! 🥹❤️

Pastors Jon and Katie, we want to honor you, celebrate you, and remind you how deeply you are loved and appreciated!

Thank you for faithfully answering God's call, preaching the whole Word, leading with conviction, and continually pointing us to Jesus. Thank you for the prayers prayed behind the scenes, the burdens you carry that many will never see, and the countless ways you sacrifice and pour into others.

Thank you for being pastors who don't just want to see us grow in number, but grow in God. You challenge us to go deeper, live according to the Word, and become everything God has called us to be. You love us enough to encourage us and challenge us!

You don't just lead a congregation; you make room for people to become family. You celebrate our victories, stand with us through difficult seasons, and remind us there is always more in God!
We know ministry isn't always easy, and the weight of leadership isn't always visible. But your labor is not in vain! The seeds you've planted are bearing fruit in ways you may never fully see this side of eternity.

1 Thessalonians 5:12–13 reminds us to recognize those who labor among us and esteem them highly in love because of their work. Today, we do just that!

Pastor Jon & Pastor Katie, thank you for being faithful shepherds and leading Higher Ground with hearts that desire to see God's people walk in His purpose. We love you, honor you, and believe the best is still ahead! May God refresh you where you've poured out and strengthen you for what's ahead.

We are so blessed to call you our pastors and even more blessed to call you family!

This Saturday, October 3 at 6 pm join us as we celebrate the life of
Bro. Maurice (Moe) Arsenault.

Moe served for over 40 years at Higher Ground Ministries as an usher, head usher, and elder.

He began serving under our founding Pastor Kerry Twing in the 80’s. Moe & Cindy and their 5 girls found their church home at HGM.

Moe’s life can be summed up in these three words -
Man of God.

He was a faithful, holy, righteous and incredibly dependable man.

When he served under Pastor Kerry, he helped with renovations of the church building and could always be called upon when someone was in need.

As he continued under Pastor Jon, he entered into his assignment as a great elder in Gods house, directing, encouraging, discipling and praying for many people over the years.

When Cindy went home to be with The Lord, Moe’s assignment was to evangelize his family. He did this impeccably.

He was bold, loving, steady, full of peace and very strong - physically & spiritually.

You could hear his dedication to the Lord in every conversation he had.

One of his famous sayings over the years was, “why worry, everyone else will do it for me.”

He will be greatly missed and in our hearts for all of eternity.

We know he is with His Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, his beautiful bride, and so many loved ones who have gone before, including Pastor Kerry.
