From September 19 to September 21, 2025 Baptist Missionary Transportation Ministry, Warren Hargis (Eric) and Carla Hargis had 2 vans go out and one van come back in. We had two airport runs to Kansas City International Airport and the other missionary got an UBER down to us. One of these missionaries brought us some Australian vehicle plates to add to our collection.

Also worked on a van that is currently out with a missionary that was experiencing wet floor boards caused from an A/C drain issue. Installed a drain tube and fixed a failed door lock actuator so the door would lock and unlock.

Catch up time, on paperwork again! Had a lot going on the last couple of weeks and the desk is piling up again. It's going to get really busy with work coming up for a week and a lot to get done in the shop.

2025-03-02 UPDATE

I've been catching up on some much needed paperwork for Baptist Missionary Transportation Ministry. Believe it or not, I am a neat freak and like to be very organized, but also put things off till I can get it done and have it finished my way (the Eric way for anyone that knows me). BMTM is all voluntary work, so if anyone has skills with vehicle cleaning or check ups, send me a message. This pile in the pictures below has grown over several years, ok maybe 4 or 5 years. Between juggling serving at church, being with our ever growing family (more to come in other post), BMTM and working a full time job, at times was almost 2 full time jobs with O.T. ( ok was working - currently on a 14 month lay off). I get way behind on stuff. The desk and office is a big project, along with organizing the shop. I'll try to keep posting on updates as it progresses. Finally able to catch up on a lot of tolls to be reimbursed for while vans were on the road.

At Baptist Missionary Transportation Ministry I am catching up on a ton of paperwork, that is so hard to keep up with while working a full time job! As I am going through the files of 1,023 times that missionaries and vehicles have gone out on the road in BMTM vehicles, I find some interesting things. Below is a email that we received from a missionary in 2015 while they were using a vehicle.
Our family Warren Hargis (Eric) and Carla Hargis have always tried to be a blessing to missionaries and churches by having vehicles for use to travel the United States and Canada for furloughs, pastor getaways, church youth trips and even some deputation adventures.
Maybe as I dig through some more, we'll be able to post about some the the stories that we have been a part of.

Carla Hargis and I had a very busy day January 8th, 2025. An original flight for the 7th got canceled, so we ended up going to Kansas City International Airport (KCI) the 8th to drop off missionaries flying back to Mexico for a 4:20 PM flight after returning their van. Then we ran errands to 7 different places, headed back home, then Wednesday evening church at Grace Baptist Church Harrisonville, Mo. Back to KCI we go to pick up missionaries flying in from London on a 9 PM flight, who were picking up another van from Baptist Missionary Transportation Ministry. Made it back home by 11:30 PM to finally finish up things and get rest. Got some really cool gifts with another plate to add to my collection. Been a while since I've added any license plates to the wall.
