Wednesday evening activities for the whole family begin at 6:30.

Last night, I had the privilege of attending our Fifth Sunday Hymn Sing, and what a blessing it was. The room was filled with voices lifted in worship to our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Now, I realize that hymns may not be everyone's favorite style of music, and that's okay. But there is something beautiful about God's people gathering together and offering praise to the One who is worthy. I am telling you, the sound of believers worshiping Jesus is a sweet sound.

The psalmist declared, "It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High" (Psalm 92:1).

Thank you to everyone who came and participated. Nights like these remind me that one day we'll join a heavenly choir from every tribe, tongue, and nation, singing the praises of our King forever.

If you weren’t able to make it this time, we would love to have you at the next Fifth Sunday Hymn Sing, August 30th.

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22–23

Aren’t you grateful that we serve a God whose mercy never runs dry? You may have come to the end of your strength, but you have not come to the end of His. His compassions do not fail, and they never will.

When you lay your head down at night, His mercy is still there. And when you rise in the morning, there it is again. Not because we deserve it, but because He is faithful.

Great is His faithfulness.

This past weekend we celebrated Easter, a risen King, the empty tomb, and the victory of Jesus Christ over sin and death.

But I want to remind you that what was true on Easter is still true today. The grave is still empty!

He is not here, for He is risen, just as he said. Matthew 28:6

And because Jesus is alive, hope is not something we look back on, it is something we live in right now.
