th, Prisoner Release, Riverbend Food Depository, Homelessness in Chicago and various UMCOR National & International disasters from Hurricanes to Missionary Support around the world. Join us to make a difference! Galena United Methodist Church was established in 1929. Ulysses S. Grant worshiped here regularly just before the Civil War began. Congregants are involved in a range of community efforts to serve God and neighbor. A legacy lived out by the youth whose yearly mission trip focuses on community needs in Montana's Blackfeet Nation to an Indian Reservations in Oklahoma to Inner City Niagara Falls. As a Reconciling Congregation, we are committed to "being in loving Christian ministry will all people without prejudice, to truly have "open hearts, open minds, and open doors," to work toward the time when our congregation, our denomination, and our society live the all-inclusive love that our faith demands."

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Saturday’s Organ Concert such a wonderful and memorable event! Thank you for welcoming our guests, bringing cookies and sweets, preparing the reception, inviting friends and neighbors, and helping behind the scenes.
Together, we offered a beautiful gift of music, hospitality, and community as we celebrate Galena’s Bicentennial year. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this special afternoon possible!
