Daily and weekly rhythms are a big part of the Christian life. Our goal at First Baptist is to help you with the rhythms that will lead you to grow closer to the Lord and deeper in your faith. These rhythms also help us grow in Christian community. Now is the perfect time of the year to jump back into the rhythms of church. Here is a list of a few of these, but we would also encourage you to be here this Wednesday for Connection Night. Beginning at 5 during supper there will be booths set up for each of our ministries and it's a great opportunity to get more information or sign up to get involved. We will also have activities kicking off for youth and kids and business meeting and Ask Anything Wednesday at 6 for adults.
Here are some rhythms for you to plug into this Fall:
Worship
This is the most basic rhythm of our church. Gathering for worship is essential to the Christian life. Worship is at 10:30 every Sunday.
Sunday School
Sunday school classes meet each Sunday at 9:15. We have classes available for every age group. This is a wonderful opportunity to grow deeper in the Bible and fellowship with other believers.
Also, mark your calendars for September 20th for High Attendance Sunday! Our goal here is to have our regular attenders all here this week, to get more folks involved in Sunday school, and to invite guests.

Midweek
Midweek at FBC is an anchor in the week focused on fellowship, discipleship, prayer, and serving. Supper is served at 5 and there is something special about coming together as a church family for a delicious meal each week. It's convenient, affordable, tasty, and a fun time of fellowship. After that, we spread all over campus for age-specific activities, Training U classes, choir rehearsal, and more.

Bible Studies
This semester, we have Bible study opportunities for men and women.
Beginning on August 17th, women will be meeting at 10 AM and 6 PM on Mondays to study the book of Exodus with Lydia.
Our men's Bible study, Followers and Leaders, will meet on August 25th, September 15th, October 20th, and November 17th in Fellowship Hall at 6 AM. The focus this fall will be on prayer.
Events
Lots of events are on the horizon! Here are a few to go ahead and put on your calendar.
August 16th - 8:15 AM - Men's Ministry Back to School Breakfast - All men, students, and kids are welcome!
September 27th - 6 PM - FBC Coffeehouse - Enjoy free coffee and dessert as Dr. Devin Maddox teaches on theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
October 4th - 10:30 AM - Church Outside the Walls - We will worship at Moragne park as the culmination of our annual Reach Week. We will enjoy a meal together and hang out in the park after worship. Be thinking about how your family, group, or class can reach out into the community during Reach Week.
November 1st - 3 PM - Fellowship at the Farm - Enjoy beautiful scenery, good food, and fellowship at Gulf Creek Farm in Steele.
We also have women's WMU groups that meet throughout the year.
Serving
There are lots of ways to get involved with serving at FBC. If you have sensed the Lord's leading in a direction for serving, let us know. Whether it's singing in the choir or serving in the nursery, we can help you get plugged in.
Membership Orientation
If you have recently joined or are considering joining FBC, you are encouraged to attend the First Things membership orientation on Sunday, September 13th. We will meet during the Sunday school hour in the chapel. If you plan to attend or want more info send an email to Jackie at [email protected].
We are excited for the Fall at FBC and hope you'll plug in! These are only some of the rhythms that are available to you at the church. We hope to see you at Connection Night tomorrow night at 5 so you can see even more opportunities.
