Redeemer Community Church

Redeemer Community Church A group of ordinary people experiencing the love of a gracious God. We value the gospel, community, and mission at Redeemer. Its great end is the glory of God.

Here's what we mean by that:

Gospel – The good news of Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection is central to our mission. (1 Cor. 10:31; 2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 1:1-14, 1 Cor. 2:1-5; 15:1-5)

• Gospel‐centrality: the Gospel frees us to seek God’s glory in all things. This means that every aspect of our ministry is evaluated through this priority, asking whether the Gospel is central in everythin

g we do.

• Biblical‐sufficiency: God has graciously revealed Himself through His Word by which the Spirit changes hearts and lives. This means that we seek every opportunity to allow the Word tospel-‐centrality: the Gospel frees us to seek God’s glory in all things. This means that every aspect of our ministry is evaluated through this priority, asking whether the Gospel is central in everything we do. Community – Relationships within the church exist for edification and encouragement through grace-motivated discipleship. (Mt. 16:18-19; Eph. 3:7-12; Eph. 4:11-17; 1 Thess. 4:14)

• Discipleship‐culture: the church exists for the mutual edification of each believer. This means that great consideration is made to facilitate a culture of grace-‐motivated discipleship and an environment in which the busyness of the church does not interfere with this great priority.

• Congregational involvement: faithfulness to the body of Christ is reflected throughout Scripture. This means that church membership is expected of those who participate in the ministry of the church. Mission – The church is to be engaged in God’s mission both locally and globally. (Acts 1:8; Col. 4:5; 1 Peter 3:15-16).

• Incarnational‐ministry: the church has been given the task of proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ in our city, our region, and around the world. This means that one of our priorities is encouraging and equipping each member to faithfully and actively share the Gospel as they engage with their community.

• Church planting: the church is called to participate in the mission of God. This means we are committed to the training of leaders for the planting of local churches that reflect our mission and values.

If you ever peek back at the Sound Booth during a Sunday service at Redeemer, you might spot Lyle! Lyle serves on our Sound Team and helps manage the audio throughout our services. Lyle enjoys serving on this team for many reasons, but he especially loves helping people worship. Lyle also highlighted that serving has helped him make friends and build connections at church. Are you new-ish to Redeemer and looking to become more connected? Perhaps consider serving in one of our ministries; we would love to get to know you better!

Just as an actor wears a mask to play a character, sometimes the image we portray on Sunday doesn’t match up with how we live the rest of the week. Instead of hiding, we should bring our hypocrisy into the light of Christ, where His blood cleanses what our performance can never cover. As Malachi reminds us, God remains steadfast even in our unfaithfulness:

[6] “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.”- Malachi 3:6 (ESV)

Understand the importance of matching your beliefs with your behavior in this week’s sermon, “Hypocritical Worship” (Malachi 2:10-3:6). Link in bio!

Babies are precious gifts from the Lord and our volunteers cherish spending time with them! Meet Christine who serves in our “Seeds” classroom. Christine says she loves meeting the new families that visit Redeemer, praying over the babies in her classroom, and being able to bless parents to attend a Sunday service uninterrupted. Parents of young children, we know it is often hard to get out of the house, but it is also so good for your soul to hear God’s word preached and be amongst other believers; join us at Redeemer and know that your baby will be safe, loved, and prayed for while here!

Redeemer offers childcare during both of our Sunday services for children from birth through 5th grade. When you arrive at our Children’s Check-In area, you may meet Andrea! Andrea enjoys volunteering here because it gives her the opportunity to serve with her husband and children, see friends from both services, and meet new families! So if you’re visiting Redeemer for the first time on Sunday and need help checking your children into their classrooms, Andrea, or someone else on this team, can’t wait to serve you!

When you face trials, do you tend to trust or doubt God’s love for you? Standing on your own apart from confidence in God’s love for you will lead down all the wrong paths, but remembering God’s love throughout history allows you to trust God with eternity! Be reminded of God’s love for you in this week’s sermon, “When You Doubt God’s Love” (Malachi 1:1-5). Link in bio!

One of our deacons, Eddie, ushers and prepares communion. He says his goal when he serves is for people to forget the problems of the world, and instead reflect on Christ’s servanthood and ultimate sacrifice for us. We hope you’ll join us! And if you need help finding a seat, somebody like Eddie will be more than happy to assist you!
