It was another big night at Hilltop Trunk or Treat. With almost a thousand people on campus and lots of creative trunks, it was a great event.
Thank you to everyone who decorated a trunk and worked around campus as greeters. And of course, thank you to our community for showing up and being part of the Hilltop Trunk or Treat.

HOW GOD MAKES BEAUTY FROM BROKENNESS

There's a form of Japanese art called kintsugi. It repairs broken pottery by mending the cracks with a lacquer that's mixed with powdered gold or silver.

Kintsugi treats the breaks and the repairs as part of the object's history, rather than something to disguise or discard.

What makes it so unique is that it's made of broken pieces that were intentionally brought back together, held in place by gold.

Now the brokenness makes it much more valuable than it ever was before it was broken.

It's the exact same with everyone who's a born-again Christian. Jesus takes our broken pieces and makes them whole again through His love and mercy.

Because of that, we're way more valuable than ever before. The places where we were broken are now held together by His love.

Trunk or Treat has been a special event for us for several years. We are excited to welcome our community to our campus this Sunday starting at 6:30. We have tons of candy and some super creative trunks and decorations.
If you are available this Sunday between 6:30 and 8:00 PM, we would love to see you at Hilltop.
