A Sense of Adventure Saturday
Here is your morning devotional

A Sense of Adventure

This [day in which God has saved me] is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Having a sense of adventure is crucial to enjoying the life God has given you. Adventure doesn’t have to be something expensive or over the top—it can be simple and fun. Here are some examples:
• You can turn a trip to the park with your kids or grandkids into a treasure hunt. Adventure!
• You can shake things up on date night. Rather than going to the same restaurant and movie theater, explore a new place to eat and choose a new post-dinner activity. Adventure!
• Your job doesn't have to be boring. You can think outside the box and propose a new strategy or take initiative with a bold idea. Adventure!
• Rather than staying safe in your spiritual comfort zone, why not sign up to serve in a new ministry or set out on a mission trip? Adventure!
If you want to enjoy the life God has given you, one of the best steps is to make every day some sort of adventure with Him.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for this day You've made. Help us find adventure in the everyday and give us courage to try new things with You. In Jesus' name. Amen!!!!

It can be simple and fun!!!
Sign up to serve in a new ministry!!!
Hallelujah!!!!

The Key to Conquering Frustration
Friday
Here is your morning devotional

The Key to Conquering Frustration

[Therefore, I do not treat God’s gracious gift as something of minor importance and defeat its very purpose]; I do not set aside and invalidate and frustrate and nullify the grace (unmerited favor) of God . . .
Galatians 2:21

I know what frustration is like because I spent many years living a frustrated life. I knew who God was, but I knew very little of His grace and how to live in close relationship to Him. I have since learned that when I get frustrated, it’s almost always because I am trying to make something happen in my own strength instead of waiting on the Lord to make it happen. If I am frustrated, it is a sign that I am acting independently instead of relying on Him and receiving His grace. Are you frustrated? In your relationships? In your career? In your walk with the Lord? Are you wrestling with an area of your personality that is causing you problems, or is there a specific habit in your life that you can’t break? Frustration comes from trying to do something you cannot do on your own. God is the only One who can make things happen for you in your life. You will be frustrated if you try to do things without Him. But the minute you say, ā€œLord, I can’t do this on my own, so I turn it over to You. I am willing to do anything You ask me to do, but I will need Your grace (power) in order to do itā€ā€”when you sincerely pray that prayer, you will begin to enjoy the rest of God.
Prayer
Father, we can't do this on our own, so we turn it over to You. Help us stop striving in our own strength and rest in Your grace. In Jesus' name. Amen!!!!

say, ā€œLord, I can’t do this on my own"!!!!!
Hallelujah!!!!!!!

Taming the Tongue Thursday
Here is your morning devotional

Taming the Tongue

I said, I will take heed and guard my ways, that I may sin not with my tongue; I will muzzle my mouth as with a bridle while the wicked are before me.
Psalm 39:1

The psalmist David prayed a lot about his words. He said, Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, impenetrable] Rock and my Redeemer (Psalm 19:14). Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips (Psalm 141:3). We can see from these scriptures that David was determined not to sin with his tongue, but at the same time, he relied on God for strength to follow through. One of the things we should ask God each day is to help us speak right things. Our words are very important, and they should be used for God’s purpose. We should desire to be mouthpieces for God, speaking His Word faithfully.
Prayer
Lord, help us guard our mouth and tame our tongue. Give us strength to speak words that please You and honor Your Word. In Jesus' name. Amen!!!!!

Our words are very important!!!!!
Hallelujah!!!!!!

New Level, New Opposition Wednesday
Here is your morning devotional

New Level, New Opposition

He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ…perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
Philippians 1:6

We never stay in the same place in life, merely remaining static; we are always stepping into new levels. We do things we have never done before and face new responsibilities. We are presented with new opportunities, and many times they come with new opposition. We have an enemy, the devil, and he does not want us to make any kind of positive progress in life. The apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 16:9 that a wide door of opportunity had opened unto him and with it came many adversaries.
If God has promoted you to a new level of something or given you a new opportunity, you can be assured that He will guide and strengthen you for the challenge. When opposition comes stand firm and be full of confidence because God is with you and you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
Prayer
Lord, thank You for this new opportunity. When opposition comes, help us stand firm and confident, trusting that You are with us and we are more than a conqueror. In Jesus' name. Amen!!

Because GOD is with you!!!!!
Hallelujah!!!!

The World Is Watching Tuesday
Here is your morning devotional

The World Is Watching

Conduct yourselves properly (honorably, righteously) among the Gentiles, so that, although they may slander you as evildoers, [yet] they may by witnessing your good deeds [come to] glorify God in the day of inspection [when God shall look upon you wanderers as a pastor or shepherd looks over his flock].
1 Peter 2:12

I believe the world is watching Christians, and what people see Christians do is very important. In the scripture above, Peter encouraged believers to conduct themselves properly and honorably among Gentiles, the unbelievers of the day. He said even if the unbelievers were inclined to slander the believers, the unbelievers would eventually come to glorify God if they saw the believers’ good works and loving deeds. If your neighbors know you go to church every Sunday, I can assure you that they also watch your behavior. I wondered when I was growing up, if our neighbors went to church. Actually, I think they did. They also did lots of things they should not have done. They get drunk, use bad language, tell dirty jokes, and have bad tempers, so they are just a bunch of hypocrites, I thought. I certainly realize that as Christians, we don’t behave perfectly, and that people who want an excuse to not believe in Jesus or practice Christianity will always watch us and criticize us. But we should do the best we can to not give them a reason to judge us poorly.
Prayer
Lord, please help us conduct ourselves in a way that reflects Your character at all times. Let our good works and loving deeds point others to You, especially when they're watching closely. In Jesus' name. Amen!!!!

To conduct ourselves properly!!!
Hallelujah!!!!!
