Good morning, happy people! In Acts 26:17-18 Jesus says to Paul, "I am sending you to the Gentiles to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me." Over and over again in the Bible, God sends people. You don't ever see God tell people to sit and do nothing with their lives. What is it today that God has sent you to do? Teach? Mentor? Encourage? Preach? Clean? Prepare? Laugh? Mourn? Hug? Seek? Find? Reach out? Love? Forgive? If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, He is sending you to do something today! You don't get to just sit and do nothing! Ask Him this morning, what are you sending me into the world to do today? And guess what, when you are obedient to His calling in your life, that is an act of worship! Have a wonderful Wednesday! You have all been prayed over this morning! ❤️

Psalms 23:1 says, "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing." What a profound statement the psalmist is making here. The world teaches just the opposite! We are bombarded with messages every day telling us that we need this product or we need this kind of relationship, or we need to take control of this situation or that, when all we really need is Jesus. I want to live my life the way this psalmist did. Because Jesus is my caretaker, I lack nothing! I don't need new toys, I don't need to worry about tomorrow, I don't need to worry about the past, I don't need to worry about guilt or who wronged me or offended me today. The world wants you to worry about all that stuff so that you will be fully dependent on products, governments, relationships, and your own understanding of things. But for those who claim Jesus Christ as Lord, you have everything! You lack nothing! Why? Because He is complete in himself and He offers you all of Him every day! Have a terrific Tuesday! Good morning, happy people! 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 tells us what true love looks like. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps not record of wrongs." Wow, do I do a terrible job of loving people some times, according to this definition! But you know what, I'm still a work in progress and I have a God who does love me like this and teaches me each day how to love as He loves. And guess what, when we grow in love, that is an act of worship! Have a marvelous Monday! You have all been prayed over this morning! 😁

Good morning! Hebrews 6:10 tells us that, "God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." What an encouragement from the Lord! We don't work for our salvation. But, it sure is nice to know that the creator of the universe appreciates our faithfulness and pays attention to how we take care of one another. He reminds us again, right here, that we show our love for Him by helping His people. Who in your life, today, could really use your help? Are we looking for ways to serve one another or always just paying attention to our own needs and wants? You see, when we seek out ways to love and serve people, that is an act of worship! Good morning, happy people! Galatians 1:10 says, "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ." So which is it? Are you a people pleaser or a God pleaser? When I began my long journey as a full time preacher of the gospel, it was very easy to fall into the trap of trying to please people. I never had a great self image when I was young, therefore I was always so worried about what people thought of me. I hated when people were disappointed in me. It even affected my ministry as a young person because I didn't want to be labeled as a Jesus freak. Thanks be to God that He pulled me out of that way of thinking! Why would I not want to be seen as a Jesus freak? Christ Jesus is a Joel freak to the point that He died on the cross for me. I will spend the rest of my life trying to reflect His image. People pleaser? No more! Christ pleaser? That is the goal each and every day! And don't forget, you are a person too! So quit trying to please yourself to the point of neglecting the ministry that Christ has laid out for you. Have a terrific Thursday! You have all been prayed over. 😁

Good morning, joyful people! 1 Chronicles 29:11 says, "Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything is heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all." Yeah, I think that pretty much sums it all up! You are God, Lord, and I am not! Give me the strength and patience today, to allow you to be in your proper place in my life. Take away all my selfish ambitions and use me to your glory and honor! Have a wonderful Wednesday! Good morning, happy people! Philippians 4:8 tells us, "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things." Maybe if we spent a whole lot more time obeying God and thinking about such things, we would have a whole lot less broken homes, broken marriages, broken churches, broken communities, and broken lives. You see, the enemy wants you focused on anything but that which will please your heavenly father. Are you caught up in sin so deep that you don't know how to get out? Maybe, take a look at the things you focus your mind on the most. Do you look for the good in all people, including your spouse, church family, coworkers, enemies, and friends? When we are focused on heavenly things, it gets easier and easier to love people the way God intends for us to. And guess what! When we are loving people, ALL PEOPLE, that is an act of worship! And don't forget, love is an action, not a feeling! Have a marvelous Monday! You have all been prayed over this morning! 😁

Good morning, joyful people! God tells us in Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." Don't ever believe the lie that you aren't loved and created for a purpose. God chose to know you before you were even born into this world. Which means that your life and all life is sacred to God. There are a lot of politicians who argue when life begins. Some say life begins at conception, some say life begins at birth. God tells us that life begins when He chooses to know you and have a relationship with you. And He says, that happens before you are even formed in your mothers womb! What a huge God we serve! So, if life is that sacred to God, then why oh why do we not treat one another with more love, respect, care, and see more worth in ALL people? God wants more from us than just words that say we love. He wants us to put our love into action. Ask God to give you a heart that looks at all people the way God sees them and maybe just maybe, even your enemies will see a glimpse of God in you. And guess what! When we love people, we are worshiping God. Have a fantastic Friday! You have all been prayed over this morning! 😁

Good morning, happy people! Ephesians 4:2 tells us to "be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love". Wow, that seems almost impossible! We could say, "I'm only human, how can I be expected to be COMPLETELY anything, let alone humble, gentle, and patient. Yes you are human, but as Christians, we are humans that possess the power of the Holy Spirit. It is God that gives us the ability to humble ourselves when we want our own way. It's God who gives us gentle words and actions when we want to lash out to our enemies. It is God who gives us patience when we want things done right now. In 30 years of full time ministry, I have watched husbands and wives be unfaithful to one another, I have watched church leaders speak cruel things to one another, I have seen churches split because of opinions, not theology. I have seen screaming and yelling instead of calm and controlled voices. Why? Because even Christians are not immune to the sin of pride, hate, and impatience. But we can be if we clothe ourselves in the love of Christ every single day. When we are busy worshiping God, it's kind of hard to cheat on our spouse. When we are worshiping God, it's kind of hard to speak horrible things to one another. When we are worshiping God, it's hard to speak words of hate. And when we are worshiping God it's easier to let God do things in His time, not ours. That is why worship is more than just a Sunday morning thing! Have a terrific Thursday! Proverbs 27:17 tells us that "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Did you hear that? God is telling us that we need each other! I hear so many people in the world say that they can have a saving relationship with God without going to church. That's just not what God wants for us or tells us to do! Over and over again, God tells us to meet together for accountability, love, encouragement, wisdom, worship, acceptance, peace, and service. If we try to live out our faith on our own, without the help of a church family, we will become very dull and our faith will weaken as the years go by. So, as you go to church to worship, part of your worship is to encourage and sharpen your brother's or sister's faith and walk with God. Thank you Lord for our beautiful church families, your good and perfect gift to us all! Have a wonderful Wednesday! You have all been prayed over this morning! 😁
