Let There Be No Strangers, Only Friends

Fredericktown First Presbyterian is a congregation of people grounded in the love of God. All are welcome! All are celebrated! Come to worship. In communion, we invite all who seek to come to the Table. The great commandment is to love the Lord our God and to love one another. We are not a congregation teeming with young children, but we are absolutely teeming with life and we are filled with the fruit of the Spirit. We are a vital congregation that reaches out, more and more, into our community for ways we can serve the Lord through serving the community, both locally and beyond our towns borders.

We celebrate worship with a traditional, yet casual, style where every voice is welcome and every person is a part of the family of God’s children of every age. We gather together to worship, to lift our tears, and to celebrate the great joys of being brothers and sisters sharing creation regardless of our political, social, or cultural diversity. All are welcome here! Please join us on Sunday at 10 am for worship, or call or email us about other gathering times. Join us for adult Sunday school at 9 am on Sunday or join our sewing group “Threads of Devotion”. Participate in Tuesday afternoon Bible Story with our Presbyterian Women at 1:30 pm the second Tuesday of the month. Considering joining our men on the second Saturday of the month at 8 am for breakfast and fellowship. And of course, don’t miss our Christmas Eve Candlelight service this year as we celebrate the nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We gather here for God’s love. We experience it through one another. We extend our love for God through our love for our neighbor, just as Jesus commanded. Not one of us is perfect or a stranger to sin. Come into this place knowing that we are equal sinners and receive God’s grace accordingly, as equal children of a loving God. Come and be in our midst so that we can know you and celebrate you. Do not be a stranger. Come worship with us!
