This is based on Nehemiah's burden for his Worship, For His City, and For His people.
To rebuild the once destroyed walls that surrounded the beautiful Holy Temple of God, in Jerusalem.
God truly gives us a song in the night...
Job 35:10- But none saith, where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night.
So, I had to get up and write this down.
"What's that hole in your wall?
What's that hole in your wall, my brother, can't you see?
They enemy has slipped in, while you were fast asleep.
Like Nehemiah long ago, surveying through the night, He saw the broken places, then prepared for the fight.
The rubble lay in heaps around Jerusalem's old town, But God had raised a remnant who refused to stay down.
With a trowel in one hand, and their swords by their sides, they built the walls of Zion while trusting God to guide.

What's that hole in your wall? What's that breach you have today?
has discouragement or compromise, stolen stones away?
Take up the sword of Gods dear Word and stand upon the ROCK
For every gate's a battlefield until we reach the top!
The Sheep Gate speaks of Calvary, where Jesus paid the cost
The Fish Gate calls us out to seek the dying and the lost
The Old Gate warns us not to leave the ancient paths behind
For the truth that God has given us will stand the test of time
The Valley Gate reminds us of, humility and grace
The Dung Gate shows the cleansing work, that sin cannot replace
The Fountain Gate points heavenward, where living waters flow
And every Saint who's building; must yield so they can grow
The Water Gate needed no repair, its message still is true
Gods preserved and perfect Word needs nothing man can do
Forever settled in the heavens, unchanged from age to age
A lamp unto our paths, and strength for day to day
The Horse Gate speaks of warfare and the battles we must face
The East Gate points us to our KING who is returning in HIS grace
The Mipkad Gate reminds us that one day we'll stand above
To give account unto our LORD and hear His Words of love
Sanballat mocked from outside, Tobiah laughed with scorn
Yet God sustained the builders from the evening to the morn
The enemy still whispers " You'll never make it through"
But greater is the GOD we serve than all the foes we will ever view!
Fight for inward unity, let no division reign
the wall is built much stronger
when brethren work the same
Watch and pray together, and keep your Sword within your reach
For Satan seeks to enter, into the smallest breach
What's the hole in your wall? search every stone today
Let the Master Builder mend what's crumbled and decayed
Take up the Sword of Gods dear Word and trust the LORD above
He will rebuild your ruined places, with HIS everlasting love
