Romans 12 calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. That means rethinking how we orient our lives toward ourselves, toward each other, and toward the world around us. This kind of transformation isn’t easy, and at times, it may even feel disorienting. But following Jesus means being willing to allow God to transform how we think and ultimately, how we live.

When we let Jesus heal what's broken within us, we become people who extend God’s mercy to others beyond the boundaries we might otherwise draw.

We can't control when the waves will rise or the winds will come. But we can prepare ourselves through prayer, obedience, and choosing to trust Jesus day in and day out.

The question is not whether storms will come, but whether we will trust him when they do.

What if God isn't asking you to wait until you have more to share with others? What if he's simply asking you to share what you already have?

The disciples looked at five loaves, two fish, and thousands of hungry people and saw an impossible situation. But Jesus never asked them to be the source. He only asked them to bring what they had.

That's still true today. So, bring your tired "yes,” your limited resources, your grief, your gifts, and what you think could never be enough.

Because what’s insufficient in our hands becomes more than enough in the hands of Jesus.

One of the hardest things Jesus calls us to do is to keep seeing the humanity in people who hurt us. Even on the cross, Jesus didn't stop seeing people as loved by God. He never saw the people executing Him as the enemy because he knew the real enemy was the fear that had twisted their view of themselves and others. As followers of Christ, we're called to share in this same victory, never losing our own humanity or ceasing to see the humanity in others. That's what love looks like!

Most of us know what it's like to want to do the right thing... and still fall short. We genuinely want to do what is good. We want to pray more faithfully, forgive more quickly, or love our neighbors more fully. But somewhere between knowing and doing, there's a gap. The good news is that we don't have to pretend the gap doesn't exist.

Jesus simply invites us to bring our wandering hearts to the One who never lets go. 💚

Sometimes, when all we can see is the mountain in front of us, God simply provides the grace we need to take the next step. God doesn't promise that life will always be easy or that every painful situation will end the way we hope.

But the God who calls you is the same God who sees you, who walks with you, and who provides for you.
