Leaders at St. Thomas are reminding parishioners about the upcoming Congregational Assessment Tool (CAT) survey as part of our search for a new priest

The congregation at St. Thomas was introduced to St. Thomas Caterbury, the patron of the Household’s upcoming Congregational Assessment Tool (CAT).

The CAT survey will be going live very soon (watch your email inbox); and is an essential part of our search for a new priest. Caterbury will remain to remind us.

St. Thomas had three representatives among 45 attendees at the 2026 College for Congregational Development (CCD), a two-year program of learning, connection and prayer. Deacon Karen Sullivan, Vestry member Valerie Scaggs, and parish member Donna Patrick were graduated from the CCD program at Waycross on July 30th.

Other photos: each graduate gets "high fives" as well a diploma from CCD facilitators.

A new liturgical hanging recently presented to St. Thomas reflects the continuing talents donated to the Household by one of its regular attendees.

Ann Glass recently added to the altar’s “wardrobe” with a new red superfrontal, to be used during festive seasons such as Holy Week and Pentecost. In church settings, a superfrontal sits on the altar table, running its entire width but extending only a short distance in depth (as opposed to a full frontal, which covers the entire front if the altar).

This is not the first time Ann has used her fabric talents to benefit the Household. She has created and contributed at least two quilts on prior occasions.

It was a wonderful event as St. Thomas member Peggy Kinsey was received into the Episcopal Church during a ceremony at St. Christopher’s, Carmel on June 25th.
