Juneteenth Freedom Celebration - June 19th

Join the African American Heritage Society's expanded Juneteenth Freedom Celebration on June 19, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. at Bicentennial Park & Pavilion in Franklin.

Enjoy live entertainment, 9 food trucks, 60+ vendors, historical reenactors, a Kids' Zone, games, competitions, raffle prizes, and a free walking tour of the historic cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our Race and Faith community to celebrate, connect, and honor this important moment in American history. Bring a lawn chair, family, and friends—everyone is welcome, and parking is free.

What an incredible week in Guatemala! 🇬🇹

The students of 415 Youth spent eight days serving in Quetzaltenango, making a lasting impact through hands-on mission work and sharing Christ’s love with the community.

Throughout the trip, they helped deliver and install life-changing water filters for families in rural areas, built and installed safe cooking stoves to reduce harmful smoke exposure in homes, led Vacation Bible School for hundreds of children and families, and painted classrooms to help create welcoming spaces for learning.

More than anything, we are grateful for the servant hearts, compassion, and faith these students demonstrated each day. Thanks be to God for the lives touched through this mission experience, and for the ways He continues to work in Guatemala and in the hearts of those who served. Please continue praying for the people of Guatemala and the ongoing ministry taking place there.

Our 415 high school team arrived safely at ACD Guatemala today after spending the last two days exploring Antigua! The group is in great spirits, grateful for the journey so far, and excited to serve alongside one another and our beloved ministry partners in the days ahead. We’re thankful for your prayers and look forward to sharing more from this meaningful week of ministry.
