Levels of prophecy.
Numbers 12:6-8 And he (the Lord) said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches, and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
Notice.
Dreams.
Visions.
Faithful to God and His house - led Moses into a mouth to mouth conversational relationship with God.
The weight of responsibility at this level increases and listening obediently is crucial. Coming against what God is doing can be costly.
When criticism of a prophet at this level occurs, God’s judgment descends. The prophet intercedes, and God allows mercy with His righteous judgment.
If you have been judging God’s prophets and deciding how things should be handled, maybe it’s time to look at that, repent, and ask Jesus for mercy.
Keep your eyes upon Jesus.
